The Tip Top Cafe is a place you have to try for breakfast. It has been in operation for 100 years. The same family owns the business (hotel and cafe). The food is very good, and the prices for right for all income levels. The banana pancakes are a must.

My husband and I were blown away by the pancakes (he had pineapple, I had macadamia) and the coconut syrup! The service is speedy and efficient. There's are reason they've been here for 100 years! Highly recommended!

Perfect breakfast and experience. 100 year old place and still making great food. Basic but yummy. Get the fried rice. A must do when in town!

Great place to experience local food. They serve a variety of ethnic fare including oxtail soup for breakfast. The service is very quick.

What a great local place for breakfast!! The Grand Slam was very good. The Portuguese sausage was delicious. The banana macadamia nut pancakes were out of this world!

The valet at our hotel recommended Tip Top for an authentic breakfast. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Loved having fried rice with my eggs. So glad we found this place!

Always our first stop when arriving in Kauai. Pancakes are the best. Sweet and tasty. Can never go wrong with their pancakes. Forget the corned beef hash though.

The best of our stops for Hawaiian style breakfasts on Kauai. Fried rice was particularly good as well as HI coffee.

My husband loved his Loco Moco and I thought my macadamia nut pancakes were amazing! We were second in line when we arrived but the line was out the door when we left. Don't let the line scare you, we were served very quickly.

This is a very local hangout which we look for on all our trips and we were not disappointed! They have the regular eggs and bacon, but we like to venture beyond the normal. I had the Oxtail Soup (small is plenty) with an extra serving of ginger and cilantro. My husband had his Loco Moco. He is a Loco... More
