Our hotel was by this restaurant so we ate here. We ate out on the patio and had the best lasagna I have eaten. The bread was also great. My husband had a crab meal I believe and he also loved it.

We went here because Duke's next door was a 30 minute wait. The view from table was very nice. They had a harp player which I thought was odd, why not some music from Hawaii. Service was fine and the food was average and a tad overpriced.

Café Portofino was probably our most disappointing dining experience while visiting Kauai. For the price, I found the food and service to just be average. Beautiful view and great location but nothing special.

Affiliated to the Marriott resort, this turned out to be a decent Italian restaurant - feels authentic. Generally informal atmosphere with live music, but could dress up. Excellent sea view! Try to get a seat on the seaside. Good list of wines including a few Italian wines. Excellent beet salad, garlic bread, tasty Italian lasagna, pasta and local fish with... More

Cafe Portofino is a bit more formal than the rest of the restaurants at the Marriott. Reservations are a good idea but not absolutely necessary. Strengths were the amazing views and kind, attentive service. Food was above average as expected...good pasta and seafood...our GF diner was able to be accommodated with GF spaghetti - the desserts are just okay so... More

We ate here on my husband's birthday and it was lovely. All of the food was fantastic. The sauce was phenomenal and on par with any Italian place in NYC. The staff was attentive and helpful. Thanks for a terrific night!

This wonderful Italian restaurant was most enjoyable. The veranda setting, open air, over looking the bay was relaxing & beautiful. The food did not disappoint & though we chose simple Italian dishes my chicken Marsala, was one of the best I've eaten. Our escargot was yummy & a lovely wine selection complimented our meals. It will be a must return... More

Waited for 15 minutes for acknowledgement. Food was ok. Eat local sushi and be happy. Hard to find good food on island.

Food was decent and nice ambiance. However, portion sizes are small. Salads overpriced and bland. My husband had eggplant parm. It was good but came with no sides with it. My fish dish was just okay-had to pay an additional fee to change my vegetable to pasta. Better food choices in Kauai.

We have been to Kauai many times but hadn't visited here due to some of the reviews. We decided to give it a try. Why not Italian in paradise?!? We had a lovely table with great view, the harpest was playing beautiful music. The salad was good. Main course was so so. And, for $300 (5 people) we weren't impressed.... More
