Lived up to its reputation. Great food. Good service. Ladies were friendly and loved it when we complimented their food. Don't leave without trying the lilikoi chiffon pie. Heaven!

After a meal here your liver will give you the typical signs of failure: about 20 minutes or so and you wanna drink and drink and drink, you would drink an whole lake... MSG, lots of MSG in their food: It's yummy greatly scrumptious and it gets you so easily addicted, but careful how often you eat this...

The saimin is excellent. Try the barbecued chicken on the skewers. Nice place to take the family for lunch. Meet local people at the counter.

We always visit Saimin when we are in Kauai. This is the teal Hawaii. You get an amazing noodle soup call Saimin that is Ramin noodles on steriods. You get get the soup in different ways. The chicken sticks have a teriyaki flavor. Try the pie it is homemade a really good. The portions are large and forbless that $20.00... More

Are you hungry? Do you want Saimin? Stop reading reviews, and go here now. On another island or the mainland? Want awesome Saimin? Get your plane ticket, and head on over. I was not going to review this place because it has a great rep and plenty of business, but something happened here on Maui that forced me to give... More

My family had a great meal here - the best meal we had out while in Kauai for more than a week. This is authentic and delicious. From the wonton soup to the special noodle bowl (get the XL) to the BBQ pork and beef to the tempura shrimp, this was great food. We really struggled to find anything very... More

The most excellent noodle house ever! Just remember it is casual, no air conditioning, counter style seating on stools. I had the XL special at least 4 times this week! The Lilikoi pie is the best ever.

A fun place for a inexpensive meal. Basically, you get a bowl of Ramen with other ingredients. A locals favorite. Whenever we are near Lihue we make it a must to stop by and get our bowl of Salt and Fat. Plus, the Pie is outrageous. Give it a shot, you wont be sorry.

This is a very locals place and it filled my hankering for saimin, but doesn't live up to all the highly enthusiastic reviews here and on Yelp. It's a place to fill up on cheap saimin and the grilled chicken skewers were tasty (but not that cheap). The lilikoi pie is good because the texture is so light and it... More

Part of the intrigue of this place was the atmosphere. It is this tiny hole in the wall with serpentine seating. The menu is simple and straightforward. The saimin was o.k.; I personally decided I like ramen I can get at the homeland a little better. The lilikoi pie was very light in texture and taste. I love that the... More
