We love going to Duke's Barefoot Bar directly from the beach in our coverups. The view is relaxing and the food good. Hula pie is to die for!!! We eat there multiple times while staying at the Marriott Kauai Beach Club.

I come to dukes for the salad bar and it is so good. I love that I can get a salad bar. I am from the mainland and that's one thing that I really miss. Recommended to all.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here on our first night in Kauai. The location is fantastic with ocean breezes coming through the open pavillion and beautiful views. The decor is really fun with an indoor koi pond and a treehouse feel inside. The food is very good-- both seafood and steak dishes. Hula pie is a must and it is... More

We visited this Dukes two years ago and enjoyed it then so had to go back. After a week of dining out every night, Dukes remains at the top of the list in terms of fish quality, preparation, atmosphere, excellent salad bar, reasonable prices and great service. It was excellent the first time and not sure how they could have... More

Sat outside downstairs for lunch overlooking the beach. Upstairs is only open for dinner. Nice atmosphere, casual but nice wood furniture and umbrellas kept us dry from passing rains. Service was friendly and attentive. Salad was huge and delicious! Chefs Burger can easily be split as it is big and loaded! Yum... A great place to eat!

Have been for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed it for daytime meals. In the evening the prices in the main dining room are just too high for run-of-the-mill food (and $18 for salad bar only?--come on!) and you can't enjoy the views. If you eat here in the evening, you're better off with the bar menu. My mushroom gnocchi... More

First visit to this Duke's on Kauai and it was great. Have been to the one on Maui a few times and always had a great meal. Stopped by for lunch with an ocean view. Had the fish and chips which was delicious. Definitely save room for dessert and the Hula Pie.

Nice restaurant with a beach view. Great salads and sandwiches. The fish sandwich was great with grilled fresh catch of the day. Salad bar is awesome and you can get it with an entree for about $5...as a meal, it is $18. Even has anchovies for their delicious Caesar salad.

Great food, pleasant, efficient wait staff and nice environment. The downstairs is first come first served with a simpler menu, however the upstairs section takes reservations and a more elaborate menu. Both sections provide delicious, fresh fish! Downstairs they served swordfish as the fish and chips.
