First class sushi bar, food created by genuine sushi chef. Some creative takes on Hawaiian-style sushi as well as traditional sushi rolls and sashimi dishes. Pricey but all of Hawaii is for first class dining.

Great place for afternoon drinks, just off the beach at the Marriott. Very informal beach bar. Good appetizers.

We stayed at the Marriott and the other pool bar/restaurant was closed for whatever reason. Didn't really have any other option so we ate here and it was good :) later we found 2 other restaurants within walking distance. Prices were high as expected. A kids smoothie is 8 bucks and its not real. The waitstaff and others were all... More

Wow, we've eaten here twice and I cannot speak highly enough about it. The chef(s) are friendly and attentive. The ahi is ridiculously good. Salmon is ace, as is the yellowtail. Everything was awesome, but the poke stands out at this place. Fantastic.

Very average sushi menu that will please a large range of newbie sushi eaters. Get to know the sushi chef and he will make you what you like off the menu. Prices are average to high, location is not great. Staring at a wall near the dish entrance and behind the bar is not what it used to be. We... More

We have eaten at Chef Brice's Toro Tei for over 10 years. Marriott should move the location back to the terrace but the food is excellent wherever Brice is working. I have come to trust Brice and tell him to prepare hat he wants for us and we have never been disappointed. Sit at the bar, relax, don't be in... More

The drinks and meals are overpriced. The drinks are very weak, especially in happy hour! The location and surrounds are very pretty and we'll acted within the resort.

We eat there every time we visit this Marriott (once a year). Brice is great and makes the best sushi, so fresh and delicious. Not a big area, it's behind Kukui's bar and not very visible from the walkway, but worth searching for.

Had sushi at Toro Tei the night we left and was not disappointed. Sat at the sushi bar so we could watch them make our dish. Service was very good will return.

I was looking forward to some awesome sushi while on Kauai, but we didn't find it here! It was a little too out of the box for me (as in, inauthentic), and it really wasn't all that good. Some of my tuna pieces in the poke were too fatty to chew, which is never good. Also, the menu itself seemed... More
