Enjoy going to Gaylords on our visits to Kauai. The plantation style house is charming with the various rooms turned into shops, bar area, secluded dining or dining outside under the covered patio watching the moon & stars or shelter from the rain. Food is good & nicely presented. Staff is professional.

We always ask for a quiet table when making reservations, which is a good idea, as it can get quite crowded and noisy if there are children at the next table. The food is consistently excellent.

Gaylords was the best dinner that my husband and I had on the island ! We told the hostess that we were on our honeymoon and she directed us to a private table overlooking the gardens. The grounds were beautiful. There was a small band playing Hawaiian music softly for the guests to enjoy during dinner. Our server, Rochelle, was... More

We stopped at the plantation to kill some time and decide to eat lunch at Gaylords. We were a party of 7 and were sat right away. It is open air but covered seating. Absolutely beautiful views. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our food selections ranged from salads to Grilled fish, burgers, and poke. Everyone loved their dish. Very fresh tasting food.... More

We have come to Kauai every year since 1996 (we have a time share at Kauai Marriott) and we always eat at Gaylord's. It has great atmosphere. Staff is wonderful and we love the food. Prices are not to bad. Mai Tai's could not be better. We have brought many people here with us and no one has ever had... More

We had lunch here at this wonderfully restored plantation home from the 1930s. The courtyard setting is fantastic. Great menu and excellent service by the entire staff. Definitely one of the gems located in Lihue.

Friend and I went for Sunday brunch. It was overpriced for what was served. The buffet looked picked over, the food was not hot. The only good item was the prime rib omelet. It was very good and made to order, arrived hot and the horseradish sauce was very tasteful. Otherwise the rolls, desert items were what you could buy... More

We were here for a week and the last night we found this gem. Delicious Mai Tai's appetizers, salads, and fresh fish. Beautiful garden patio seating. Local gem in Lihue.

Restaurant has a lovely garden setting, allowing for pretty views if you get a good table. Food is pricey, but of good quality. Staff and service are great. Only thing letting the restaurant down from 5 stars is the poor dessert options.

We made 7 PM reservations for dinner and arrived at six in order to spend time in their shops. No need for the extra hour! 15 minutes or less will do. As for dinner, it was very good. The fillet is very tender and recommended...two of us ordered it and they came one full gear short on the doneness scale... More
