Not at all fancy but the food was well-prepared for a casual dining restaurant. The French dip sandwich was really good although the jus dip was too salty. French fries were crunchy. There is a very large beer selection. When I asked for a locally produced brew, I found that the selection is every larger than what they display.
We were there for trivia night. There was no charge to play but winners got actual gift certificates so there’s no risk to play.
They are very careful about COVID precautions, as were the guests. While we stood outside waiting to be seated, other diners wore their masks and kept their distance. Tables inside were 6’ apart, servers wore masks and they reminded diners to mask up if those left the table uncovered.

We went late on a Thursday afternoon. My husband had the beer battered fish and chips, and I had the Bulgogi Bowl. Both were well prepared and delicious. I particularly appreciated the choice of white or brown rice with my bowl. The lilikoi salad dressing was amazing, as was the flavorful and tender beef.
The only problem we encountered (other than an over-enthusiastic and somewhat inebriated sports fan) was that it took the waitress over ten minutes to pick up the check (while we watched her chatting with another customer) and another ten minutes to return with the change. If the restaurant had been extremely busy this would have been acceptable, but it wasn’t.

With so many great restaurants in Kauai that require reservation weeks in advance if not months, it was great to find this grill in an unassuming strip mall that took us in immediately. The beer selection is very good and the poke bowl I ordered was delicious and so was the service form a happy waitress. We were lucky to be there during a live music night and the local band was impressive. Great pub for great pub food and ambience. Keep this restaurant in mind for lunch or dinner with no reservation needed,

Went there today for lunch. We were first met by the hostess who was very friendly. She seated us right away. Then the waitress came to take our order. She was ok at first. She wasn’t really friendly or bending over backwards to help us with our order. Just shot and to the point like we should know what we were ordering but didn’t really bother me. Then she came with our drinks set them down and was gone. I was thirsty as my wife and I had just finished a tour and I emptied my drink pretty fast. The waitress looked our way a couple of times and I thought ok she will get me a refill but not the case. The food came out quickly and the girl that brought it to the table was very quick to drop it off and go without an offer for a refill. Finley after we ate about half our food our waitress came by to check on us and I had to ask for a refill Next time I saw her was after we had finished eating and both my wife and I had emoted our drinks again. Not offer for a refill. She dropped off our ticket and disappeared again. Luckily a nice young man took our card to pay for our meal and we left. Maybe if you go there you will get better service the food was some of the best we have had in the past 4 days but the waitress was the worst. I only left a 15% tip witch is less than I have left a waitress in years. I always tip 20% + I would have understood if she would have Ben busy but that was not the case.

If you're flying into Lihue airport after 8pm, your food options are Kauai are very limited, most eateries close at 9pm! Fortunately Rob's Good Times Grill's Kitchen closes at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and less than 2 miles from Lihue Airport! After getting our luggage and rental car, we made here at 9:10pm on a Saturday!
$19.50 Hawaiian Plate...loaded with meaty chunk of juicy, tender Kalua Pork, a healthy fresh and tasty scoop of Ahi Poki, some lomi lomi, some poi(which I never got into), rice, and salad...a perfect welcome meal for my first night in Hawaii!
$15 Mai Tai...this was rather expensive, but it is the going rate for a Mai Tai in a lot of places, and its a big tall festive tiki glass! Refreshing, and a great way to start your Kauai trip.
Ambience is sports bar with Hawaiian flair, but there was live music by a couple of guitar vocalists whom were great. Friendly service all around. Great if you're looking for a little bit of night life and late meal.

We went here last Wednesday night, based on Trip Advisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the fish and chips, and BBQ platter. The live music was very good. We enjoyed it so much, we went back again on Friday night for more live music, miso salmon, and yup, fish and chips again ! great service, fun atmosphere. Drink prices very reasonable $15 for a double Jameson and ginger??? bring me another one !!!!!! service was great. Highly recommend !!!

Touted as a place where locals go, but don’t think it’s the quality that brings them in. Happy hour is mediocre and service is average. So many items are described as “really good”, but some are simply edible. Dinner special portion was good but meal overpowered with an oddly flavored cream sauce. Prices are on par with the more touristy spots. Expected much more. Will not return.

Very laid back bar atmosphere that is suitable for the family. There was a live band. It seems more like a place the locals go to than tourists. We were told about the place from a local. The food was delicious and gourmet, not typical bar food!! I had the Ono plate and my friend had the Fish (Ono) sandwich, my son had a bison burger. We also LOVED the garlic fries!! The drinks were the best Mai Tais we had on the island. I was disappointed that they charged you more to use a credit card. And the air conditioner blew strongly in us. I was cold at first but after awhile I didn't notice it as much unless they turned it down.

Heard they were going to have a live band from 3:30-5:30 playing Irish music on a fiddle plus an Irish dinner special. We got a great table right in front of the two man band and truly enjoyed our food & ourselves on this super fun holiday! Noticed that this place had expanded and was much bigger than when we had been there before. Everyone that was working there that afternoon / evening was super friendly, moving quickly and very accommodating. So happy to find other friends there also wearing green and having a good time-it really made our day!

Tourists often ask "where do the locals eat?' when visiting Hawaii. This is one of those places. You'll find Rob's Good Times Grill tucked into a strip mall on Rice Street about 2 miles from the Lihue Airport.
Rob's has high quality bar food, lots of TVs showing sports, and a friendly atmosphere. You'll find multi-generational families at Rob's eating a Hawaiian Plate, a hamburger, Ono fish and chips, a BBQ platter, or a fried Ono fish sandwich. We even saw a guy in a head-to-toe Spiderman costume walk in and grab a drink at the bar.
Rob's features live music Wed through Saturday: usually someone on guitar playing soft rock and Hawaiian favorites.
A great stop for a solid meal when you are in Lihue.

As Canadians on the island wanting to watch the World Juniors finals, we searched on line and found this restaurant/pub. Our bartenders were amazing. So friendly, attentive and fun. They put our requested game on immediately when we came in and we were never left without great food and drinks. We can’t say enough about how kindly we were treated. Thank you, Rob’s! We’ll be back. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Nothing special about this place and the service was kind of slow. The food and drinks were overpriced but not outrageous. We ordered 2 entrees without onions due to allergies and they both came with onions all over them. We had to send them back to be remade which I never like to do but had no choice. We will look for other options on our next trip.

Looking for a local place with fresh seafood Rob’s was recommended. It definitely did not disappoint. It was happy hour and we had oysters for starter. Very fresh! For a meal we had ahi tuna recommended by Dillon our server as the freshest fish. It was excellent. Great laid back place with live music playing when we visited. Great local place that exceeded our expectations!

Went here on Saturday evening for dinner with plans to stay for the dancing from 10-2. We were told that tables would be cleared away to enlarge the small dance floor. When we left at 11 that still had not happened. Music hip hop. Lots of young ladies dancing together and for good reason few if any young men were there. The very nice lady bartender did tell us that on Tuesday night they have a good turn out of adults for swing dance night. From her description it sounded like west coast swing. We had to leave Tuesday morning so could not make it. Dinner and drinks were fine.

This spot was recommended by a guide on one of our excursions so maybe we just had bad luck. My food was undercooked and actually made me sick later that evening. Unfortunately, it was over $100 for me to get that sick :( Like I said, hopefully its just a one off bad time.
