The four of us all had all had shrimp meals, coconut shrimp, bear battered shrimp, and shrimp tacos. All were great.

After a few times driving around and through the parking lot we finally found this small and out of the way restaurant and we were so happy we did! We tried the ono tacos and the ahi wrap and both were excellent. A combination of fresh ingredients and awesome sauces made both dishes a wonderful surprise. We ate at one... More

Get the fish tacos or the Hawaiian plate. Giant portions for under $10 per meal. Beware, there is no seating. It is carry out only. The clientele here is mostly locals.

Our second day and we haven't had any poke yet. You know when you go to a sushi bar and you want to order ALL of the sushi rolls, end up spending $70 bucks? Well you can make an entire bowl of your dream sushi roll. I had sushi rice base, spicy tuna and crab, edamame, kimchi cucumber, seaweed salad.... More

We went to this place on the last day of our trip and wish we would have gone sooner. We try to eat healthy and it was difficult to find good places that weren't crazy expensive for healthy food. I had the macadamia crusted Ahi and it was as good as an expensive restaurant we had been to earlier in... More

Airline food, followed by restaurant meals, can make you wish for something you know is healthy. The poke at The Fish Express fit the bill. I felt so good after eating the poke I thought of it as health food. Recommended.

Great fish. Friendly staff. Poke is great! Lots of selection to customize, and appetizers to take with you too. Bads: Terrible parking and carry out only.

Small, hole in the wall eatery right off the Kuhio Hwy (across from Walmart). It seems like a very popular locals place for a good, quick bite. I kind of felt like I was in that episode of Seinfeld with the Soup Nazi, but instead with Fish & Poke. You had so many choices of type of fish, rice, sauces,... More

Poke is all the rage in Chicago now (and elsewhere) but it doesn't even compare to what you can get in Hawaii. I stopped here between adventure activities during my day trip to Kauai. I was hungry and looking for something authentic. For $11 I got a heavy bowl of rice with two HUGE scoops of fish. They had a... More

Unfortunately, we found this jewel on our way to the airport to leave Kauai. The serve a variety of fish--cooked and otherwise-- and some fried chicken. It was the best poke I have ever had--and the prices were very reasonable! They have a "poke bar" where you can fix your own with lots of good choices. They don't have seating... More
