We can't visit Kukui'ulu Shopping Village with the grandkids without stopping here for shave ice. There are plenty of flavor choices, overs and unders, to make the most complicated treat imaginable. Outside seating is available but limited.

You read the sign on the door of this small business: Best Shaved Ice in Kauai. And you think, really? Yes, really. Great shaved ice. Lots of choices on flavors, plus extras like ice cream and shaved snow options. Try Tiger's Blood, a flavor I only saw at this establishment. Delicious!

After trying other shave ice places on the island, their use of food coloring in some of their flavors is disappointing. Do give them credit for some decent combinations. The kids loved it (of course). But would recommend finding a place that doesn't use products with so much food coloring.

When making shave ice you need to layer it. Ice then syrup, more ice then top off with syrup. That way you get the bottom. They have other good treats too

So yummy! We tried the "best" and the Pina colada one. The macadamia nut ice cream and fresh pineapple-- such a delicious combination. If you're with another person get one, share it, and then go back for another if you so please so you can try a different flavor combination. My husband didn't love the sweetened condensed milk drizzle, but... More

We were told by more than one native we must have Honey Toast while in Kauai. We were in the Poipu area so we stopped in. I was with 3 friends and luckily we ordered one regular size to share. It was wonderful!! Krispy on the outside and moist on the inside plus delicious macadamia nut ice cream. A must... More

My family loves going here for a treat. The staff is friendly and you have to try three different flavors every time you go

The shaved ice at Uncle's was amazing. There are plenty of flavor a for you to choose from. Personally I mixed Guava, Mango, and Watermelon, and the combo was fantastic. Make sure you try this shaved ice because there is nothing else like it!

The ice here has a nice fine texture, the syrups tasted really artificial though. Can't compare with places on Maui and Oahu. The staff needs some serious training in how to give good service--smiling would help.

Our boys enjoyed their large shaved ice at Uncle's. I was tempted to try their shaved snow, but resisted since we were going to be going to a luau that evening. Reasonable priced. They also sold baked products that looked delicious too!
