First let me say that the service was great. The food was very good - but for a more sophisticated palate. And of course, like everything in Kauai, it was just really expensive. If you have kids I would go to the place next door - unless your kids appreciate crepes and goat cheese. Then by all means, this is... More

An absolute gem. Love the ambiance, the French influence, the service staff and the fact the owner couple work the room. The wife is a magnificent chef and the husband an admitted caffeine addict that works the espresso magic during the brunch service. Brunch and dinner only. Do get a reservation for dinner it's a small place. The morning crepes,... More

We were recommended to go here for brunch from a local store owner, and so glad we did! It is a very eclectic and cozy cafe, the staff was very nice, and the menu had a fair amount of options. Limited drink menu- Bloody Mary, mimosa, and wine ... But it works with their menu. The food came out in... More

over-priced, pretentious, phony. This place is a big jip. Tiny portions of lousy food for inflated prices beyond belief. AVOID and find a normal place with good food NOT this excuse for a restaurant. Plus, the service was TERRIBLE!!

Love this place! I had it on my list to hit up in Kauai. My husband and I ended up going twice for lunch. Everyone who served us was so warm. Asher made the BEST coffee. Get the original Italian ice coffee - it has ice cream, two shots of espresso and real whipped cream! I'd go there just for... More

This spot has great service and food. We've been here a week and tried coffee at different locations but this place has the best. Try the Bombon "strong with a touch of sweetness" and freshly squeezed juice. The staff is friendly and very eager to please. There is a bit of a wait for your order but it is certainly... More

This busboys favorite island spot for breakfast. We stay in Princeville but always drive down to Kapaa to have breakfast here when we have time. The freshly squeezed orange juice, crepes and warn croissants are our favorites in the menus but you can't go wrong with anything they offer! When available try Jana's (the owner) almond cake. It is not... More

I joined family for brunch this past week & glad I did. My first review of Cafe Hemingway mentioned my issues with the servers/service and wasn't too sure I wanted to give it a third visit. The waitresses & staff seemed to be way more tuned in & attentive plus the restaurant seemed to have renovated a bit & the... More

We arrived with our pram, our eleven month old and our two and a half year old. What a joy this place is. Classy, laid back, truly a slice of Europe with an American undercurrent. Our toddler spied a box of toys and spent a blissful hour lining up cars under our table. He was happy and the staff were... More

I don't like going to Kapaa but our yummy lunch made the trip worth while. The cafe is quaint and comfy. The staff were very friendly and super on it. We never ran out of water and had two servers trying to take our order. I had the Kabocha Curry my husband the Beef Bourguignne and we shared a Gorgonzola... More
