Whew! Oh what a night

This is a restaurant with class. Had breakfast, lunches and dinner there. All the staff were great. Ask for Henry at night. Got the best view of the beach and had a selection of menu items that would rival any top restaurant on the islands. Go for happy hour, the drinks are deadly and cheap. Go on Wednesday afternoon around 4:00 pm and stay for the best electric ukulele player you will ever meet. In fact, one of the best musicians (with guitar accompaniment) you will ever meet. You have to go early because the locals come out for this one. Loved this restaurant and the ambiance. Is it pricey--well there is always McDonald's at Waikiki for cheaper meals for the undiscerning?

We had a great dinner and loved the idea if being able to order half dishes. The server “Henry” was very knowledgeable about how the dishes were prepared. Their Mai Tai is unique and not a classic which I personally did not prefer. Everyone in our dinner party enjoyed their dinner, steaks, lamb ball, curry and the strongest Martinis which is almost unheard of the Island. We will definitely go back to visit the bar again too. Great view of the ocean too!

We recently stayed at the Waipouli Beach Resort and visited the Oasis restaurant for dinner once night, breakfast once and drinks/lunch twice. If it hadn’t been for Art being our server for drink and lunch, this would be a very different review. Art was so energetic, welcoming, professional, funny and warm! We’d go back just to meet up with Art again!

Bottom fish too price

Today's catch skip Jack bottom of the tuna line. I didn't know that until after I left the restaurant. Very strong fishy flavor price at $38 severed in a bowl to help conceal the worst vegetable and three small s!iced of potato. The waiter could be sweet of aggressive at the drop of a hat. Manager out and about selling his menu nice guy but the menu should sell its self . Mai tai was rum and gava juice ??????

Very nice location, overlooking the beach, and service was prompt and attentive. The menu seems rather limited, with somewhat elevated pricing. The 4% add on “resort recovery fee” (or something of similar description) is off putting. Tempted to give it an average rating, but all together it was better than average.

Two dinners in one week

Our first night on Kauai... fresh catch with warm green bean salad was delish - so was my husband's seared ahi. Second time was on the 10th anniversary of the restaurant. Excellent music ("free") but dinners not up to par. Our server, Irie, was wonderful; but we spent way too much for a grisly piece of seared ahi, nice wine and very bad burger (fries were good though so we shared). The restaurant has great location beachside & is right next to our condo; but it used to be worth the splurge & after our last meal there, we're not as keen to return again this trip, even though the entertainment in 2/15 was great!

The setting is great, being right on the beach. Dining is indoors for the most part but the place is open to the beach. We had a great time for a family dinner, with some very good cocktails and a bunch of shared appetizers and dinner items. The staff was exceptionally good. Service was reasonably fast and all the food was done well, even if portions are a bit small. Prices are pretty high, but not crazy. If you go here on vacation you should not be too worried about dropping a few extra dollars.

Favorite restaurant for food & atmosphere

It was our first night on the island and decided to check out Oasis after reading reviews. We walked in and sat at the bar since they didn't have any tables available, and we received great attention from the service staff who were helpful and personable. The food was AMAZING. I got the seared catch entree, and the catch of the day was ahi. It which was perfectly seasoned and paired with a sweet potato puree that complemented the fish so well. I'll be dreaming of that meal for weeks. Prepare to spend quite a bit here, but I highly, highly recommend checking it out!

Great setting and great service

Thoroughly enjoyed two different visits to Oasis. We had a terrific dinner there and then returned for happy hour. The food is delicious, the service is attentive, but not annoying and it is truly on the beach. You just can't beat this place in Kapaa.

Honeymoon dinner 5 star

My wife and I dined here for our honeymoon and had an A+ experience. Our waiter Art was very knowledgeable and personable, the manager was attentive and the food was spectacular. I had the seared catch of the day and my wife had the grilled catch of the day. Perfect place if you like sea food and the customer service was as good as it gets with a nice ocean view.

This was truly our favorite restaurant of the entire trip. We actually returned three times. We went to many of what are considered the nicest restaurants here in Kauai, but ultimately, we felt that Oasis was the best food, service, and overall experience. I highly recommend the grilled ahi. It is the best I have ever had. The view is amazing. And Art was an amazing waiter! He has a wonderful personality and made us feel as if we were with friends. Thank you, Art, for such a wonderful experience. :)

Excellent dinner!

We are staying in Ka’Paa, and decided to cancel a dinner reservation we had in Poipu, so we didn’t have to drive back down. We chose Oasis based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Truly an undiscovered gem. The service from the hostess, bartender and our server could not have been better. Oasis is essentially farm to table, and it shows. I had not had very good tomatoes since arriving in Hawaii, but our server assured us that the Caprese salad was superb and he definitely did not oversell it. It was delicious. The homemade ricotta was superb. The main dish we chose was a special - 3 types of fish, perfectly grilled (I can’t remember the names of all three, but one was a type of blue marlin). The fish in Hawaii is excellent. There was nothing I did not like. I would definitely return!

Was pretty good but we have had better

Food was decent. It wasn't the best meal I have had and I don't know if it was worth the hype. We went at 8pm so to be fair we missed the view/sunset. We both ordered the Tuna and the menu said it was a sweet purple potato puree but our server informed us it would be a pile of mashed potato. The bokchoy with it was ok. The potato mash was very starchy and there was so much of it. We tried the tomato soup as an appetizer and again...it was just ok. We also tried the sweet potato chips as a starter and that came as a bowl of thin chips with a cheese sauce on top. Don't think I would try it again. Server was great and the hotel where it was located had a great ambience.

Small but mighty

This beachside restaurant was directly on our resort property so we had to check it out. It is a small restaurant so reservations were a must. The menu is small but each dish is expertly prepared and our server was very knowledgeable regarding each dish and was able to answer all of our questions. It was our most expensive meal during our week long stay but the quality and presentation was outstanding.

This is right on the beach but some tables are in doors which was disappointing. Also tables for two are not comfortable if sitting on the length side. The huge pedestal gives you no room for legs. Waite staff friendly and very informative. Almost all is farm to table. Started with roasted tomato soup with garlic, was s ok but not exceptional. The Chiapetta bread was unimpressive and ridiculously over priced. The wedge salad with blue cheese was exceptional and plentiful. The marlin chef special was cooked perfectly with green beans and gnocchi. Delicious. The savory pork chop with green beans was good. The yellow squash gratin was interesting, different and very good.
