We rolled in at 630pm straight off the plane...were excited by local dark craft beers. Ordered our beer only to find out the kitchen was out of gas!! Is that a thing?!?! But turned out as a fun and tasty adventure. One of their fryers...was electric so we ordered salad (freshest salad with great poppy seed dresisng) and fries and Manoo...beef and vegetable dumplings with ponzu dipping sauce that were Absolutely Delicious. The manager Dan and our server Tavina were so nice and helpful. We approached the whole experience with a laid back Hawaiian attitude and had a great time and a delicious meal. We are will Definitely come back this week...gotta try the Loco Moco fries (fries with ground beef, gravyband a sunny egg) and their Kaluha Prok.More

This place had such a great happy hour menu. There are great food options such as the Loco Moco and a pork belly bao. The prices were super reasonable. There were about 5 beers that were from $3 for the Kona Light to $5 for...the rest. If you are looking for great prices and great food this is the place. Happy hour is from 5-8 and is 100% worth a visit!More

I wasn't sure what to expect the first time we visited a couple years ago and but we were very happy with the food, beer and service. We went back yesterday and were blown away by the food - you get a huge serving for...a great price. Roger the bartender was a great host and kept us entertained. They also have a great beer selection, possibly the best on the island.More

We stopped for a quick bite and drinks. They had lunchtime happy hour food, beer and wine specials, but not mixed drink specials so that was disappointing. $10 for a Mai Tai seemed steep compared the the $4-5 appetizers. But everything tasted great.

Food is very reasonably priced and the selection is excellent. We've had several of the appetizers and they were all very tasty. Drinks are also reasonably priced and even better during Happy Hour. You can watch almost any sports event on their several TV's. Only...downside to this place is their level of service. You need to be prepared for a slow process. Waiters seem to be learning as they go. Best to come with your drink already in mind so you can get that going while you wait for them to come back for an order. If they could improve the service, I would rate them a 5. We'll continue to go back and hope the service improves.More

I have visited many breweries and brewpubs on all the islands and this place has absolutely the most extensive selection of Hawaiian beers I have seen. If you want to try different beers from all the islands this is the place to go. Good pub...menu also. Good burgers and my wife had a nice steak for $14. Where else can you get a nice steak for that price! We were just visiting for a week and went here twice, but if I lived on this island I would be a regular visitor. Great job!More

We visited after dark, and were surprised that exterior doors were open. It was so cold I had to go back to my car to get a jacket. Our waiter closed the door nearest us so it was tolerable. The grilled chicken was a bit...tough, and very bland. I’m glad I opted for the soy sauce, so I could add some flavor. It came with white rice, which was very welcome. I was getting really tired of French fries.More

Stopped in at happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the offerings. The chef has a knack for combining ingredients to bring out somewhat unique but most certainly delicious flavors. Went with a small group and we had a little of everything....It was all superb. If you're around Kapa'a, don't miss Taps and Hops!More

Good food, good price. During our 2 weeks on Kauai, we found this newer place to eat was very friendly and the food was awesome. Well prepared and well priced.

I believe happy hour starts at 3pm, however to be sure look at their FB page as well. The food is really interesting, the chef/owner is both local and Japanese trained and you can taste this in his food. Enjoy.
