We stayed just outside Kapa’a, and Java Kai was a delicious place to stop for breakfast. Lots of latte and non-coffee options - I had a macadamia latte every time. Their bowls were good, but the hot breakfasts were what really stood out. Delicious waffles,...egg sandwiches, etc. It’s a popular place, so prepare to wait in line for a bit during peak hours, but they keep it moving. Great place!More

Great little place. Stopped in for a late breakfast and liked it so much when we went back up to Hanalei Bay a few days later, we ate there again. The Caramel Anu coffee is like a milk shake and the JK breakfast burrito with...pesto is delicious.More

We stopped here on day one to get a bag of coffee for our trip to make in the condo. The blonde roast was light and easy to drink.

Have gone in a few times. Great for vegetarians. Many good options for everyone. Fresh ingredients and tasty food right in the thick of things in Kapaa.

I visited Kauai three times last year for work. My friend who lives there mentioned Java Kai for good coffee. I found myself there every morning ordering a coconut milk latte and getting a gluten free banana mac nut muffin. Then a walk back to...the beach to watch the sun rise over the golden sand...ahh. The coffee is incredibly flavorful. The pastries are fantastic. They also do a fantastic breakfast. The avocado toast is really good and a nice start to the day. The liloki (spelling?) lemon bar is a tart passion fruit bar that is a good mid afternoon pick up. The people who work there are fast, friendly and amazing. One of them remembered me from one trip to the next and what I wanted to order, even though it had been two months. I highly recommend this place!More

What a awesome local coffee shop when visiting Kaua’i. We found this place on our honeymoon and liked it so much that we now order our coffee from their online. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for good coffee.

Java Kai does it right! We ate at Java Kai twice. I had the Feta Mo' Betta on a toasted Everything bagel both times (I ordered without sprouts, not my thing). I got the Kona Coffee both times, as well, My partner had the Granola...Bowl on the first visit and the Ham & Egg Panini the second tine. All were incredible. This little joint is hopping, always a line during breakfast hours. We really enjoyed this gem of a coffee shop with food.More
