I got the little monkey smoothie, which was delicious, and the ham and egg panini, which was also good. My husband enjoyed his food as well. The only thing I could suggest is more seating (maybe outside) and a better system. They are very busy and for a good reason because it's good food but it was very chaotic and... More

"We're out of that" seemed to be the common theme among the staff at Java Kai. We visited twice during our trip to Kauai. The first visit was later in the day and we just ordered coffee, so to be out of certain stuff is understandable, but a busy coffee shop like that knowing their flow of traffic should consistently... The Coffee was decent, lines were long breakfast sandwiches nothing to shout about. A dirty bathroom lowers their score. Lots of people bu nothing special that I could see.

This is well worth visiting. We have been there 2 times. First time the line was a bit long. But worth the wait. I had the dragon bowl. It was very yummy. I also had an iced Maui mocha. There isn't much coconut flavor to it but the coffee is great. Second time we went, on a Saturday, there wasn't... More

I liked the coffee and the employees were nice, but it is just too crowded for me. I like to go sit with my drink and listen to some music or have a conversation. The crowds are a good sign that the food and drink are good, but if you want to relax a little, you might try another place.

This has the best coffee in Kapa'a for sure and I went there almost every morning. The food on the other hand, was inconsistent. If I was only rating the coffee and the service, I'd give it a 5. But the food was a 3 so that's why I gave it 4 stars. I had an amazing salad for lunch... More

Good place for breakfast. Kind of speedy for what you get, but the food is good and the locals really like it as well. Good protein shakes, eggs, and avocado toast. Yummy!

A guy can get tired and overwhelmed with tourist spots. This coffee shop on the main street has all the hot and cold drinks plus plenty of seating with no long lines, no pressure. Nice.

One of the nicest places in town for morning coffee and breakfast. Dug my açaí bowl. Also enjoyed the surfer girl bacon bagel. The store right next to it just intensifies its hypeness. Cool place.

I wish I had more time to try all their coffee drinks and food menu. I had the falafel wrap and it was delicious. Their dirty chai latte with almond milk was excellent. The rest of my family had the chicken sandwich, power bowl and ham sandwich. Everyone was super happy with their choices and we all said we would... More
