I was really looking forward to a good old fashion breakfast. Reading the reviews and witnessing the crowds; I at least expected reputable and delicious, but let me warn you these people don't care about what they serve. My omelette was a huge disgusting horror...show. Vegetables that were practically raw yet sour mush. Mostly rotten chunks of zucchini and peppers that were barely heated. I was so hungry I just nibbled at the overcooked browned shell of egg. The hash browns were from frozen. No flavor or fluff or steamy goodness. ZERO like cardboard no seasoning. EVEN the salsa was old and dead, straight out of a tub. Not made fresh. You can buy or source I'm sure somewhere a decent bottled salsa, this was not. It was sweet stewed tomatoes without any heat, just the cheapest trash. The best part of what Kalaheo Cafe serves is straight from Costco, the bagels and cream cheese, pastries, croissants, even if the mark up is insane. It's edible. The home fries for example were NOT, days old. No crunch, no flavor. Like they had been sitting in a hospital cafeteria steam trough for days. I felt sick for hours after eating. No standards, no care for freshness or local produce. Shame on these folks for dishing up spoiled food. They should be forced to eat it.More

Terrific stop for lunch at the Cafe on 27 April. Our son lives on the island and was showing us around. We had a good variety of sandwiches to include the french dip, the bacon avocado grilled cheese and i had the Ono special sandwich....We also loved the baked goods - mac nut cookies, the Knuckle, and the brownie!More

Great neighborhood cafe. Never been disappointed with food whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner or take-out. Busy during meals times but parking is always available. Cramped parking lots are expected in Kauai. You order at the counter first. Then pick a reserved table. Staff is...always friendly and ready to be of service. Management is responsive and professional.More

Staff could nicer - no smiles and very abrupt and just not friendly. The food was good . Odd thing also were these reserved tables with no one at but a long line of guest ordering and looking for tables … was awkward . Tight...parking and getting I. And out of the lot is difficultMore

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Love the food and the vibe… had cinnamon French toast, kahlua pork Benny, and mocha latte (yum)! Oh and the sticky bun is to die for! Mahalo!

Stopped for lunch after visiting Kauai Coffee Estate. Had lunch special of grilled Ono over slaw and rice. The meal was delicious. Many locals visit this place and it’s family friendly.

Amazing food and coffee!! Waffles and bakery items absolutely delectable. Lunches great here too. We visited Kauai last year in Jan and had breakfast here, then came back this year, Feb 2024 and this time went for lunch. Great place! Then a bonus, right across...the street is the Aloha Exchange Surf Shop that has some great finds. These stores are only in Kauai and you can’t buy online, so be sure to go get something while you’re here. It’s a fun store!More

Great place for breakfast. Huge line, but moved quickly. Everyone was happy with their meals. They had great employees. We had omelets, pancakes and French toast. Everything was yummy.

We had a fabulous dinner at this cafe. The service was friendly, warm and attentive. The daily fish special was flavourful and delightfully seasoned. The desserts were so good. I loved the coconut cake and my husband loved the carrot cake. Both were fresh and...not cloyingly sweet. They hit the sweet spot with both desserts. Great Americanos, too! We will be back!More

The place was bumpin at 8:30am but thankfully we were able to find a parking spot which can be difficult but worth it! We had the sticky bun to start off which had the right balance of butteriness and caramel goodness that had just the...right amount of sweetness. I had the Longboard with bacon and of course I had to add the local fave, spam. The croissant was light and airy with the perfect texture. My husband had the BYOO with spinach, mushrooms and Portuguese sausage. I’m usually not a fan of sausage but this was a nice surprise as it has a mild flavor. His dish came with hash browns which were beautifully crisped making them an easy target for me to steal off his plate. Highly recommend!More

Absolute best breakfast we had on the Island. The cinnamon and sticky buns were excellent also. The French toast was wonderful! Get there early for breakfast because it gets crowded.

FYI BREAKFAST ENDS AT 11:30 😭😭😭 I wanted to order the French toast but I had to settle for the long board sandwich which was delicious. There’s plenty of parking and seating. Will come again for breakfast.

This is a popular spot so be prepared to possibly stand in line and/or wait for a table. You order at the counter and then get your table. Initially we didn't see any available tables but by the time we ordered and paid some tables...had cleared up. It all works pretty smoothly and easily which was nice. The food was good and there were lots of options.More
