Women were greeted with fresh flower lei. Had good entertainment from the moment we entered dining room until the very end. Roasted pig in ground. Observed the guys taking pig out of ground, put on table, then gave samples of meat. Unlimited Mai Tais which were good. Food was tasty and plentiful. Disappointed served on disposable plates. Show and dancers... More

Just meh. Entertainment was a guy with a guitar. Drinks were bottom shelf liquor. Food was decent, but nothing that I couldn't duplicate. We paid a lot, and we didn't get that much.

We attended the luau at Tahiti Nui Restaurant and were not impressed. They packed us in to the point that you could not move at your table. We were last to get our food and there was not much on the plate so we thought we could get seconds but they broke down the buffet as soon as we ate... More

I am surprised that they have as high of a rating as they do. Our daughters had been here previously and talked about how good the pizza was. So we decided to make sure we gave it a try. We rushed from Lihue to get there for a late pizza knowing they closed at 10pm only to get there and... More

On Wednesday evening they host a traditional Luau. I am unable to attest to the authenticity of the event, but we definitely had a great time there. There was lots of food which was pretty good, the Mai Tai's were included in the cost ( and were good and plentiful ) and the entertainment was energetic and really enjoyable. The... More

We stopped for drinks on our way home. The place was hopping, with locals taking turns dancing, singing, and playing instruments along with the hired performers. It was a great atmosphere in which to sit and relax and enjoy a really first-class tasty beverage. I highly recommend their house special Mai Tai -- not watered down at all for the... More

Came here for a light snack and drink after hiking the Okolehao Trail. When we arrived there were 2 occupied tables on the patio and about 2 others inside. There was only 1 suitable table outside (1 other was in direct sun, the other essentially blocked way in/out of kitchen) which hadnt been cleaned yet so we sat ourselves there... More

Thar's right, this is a local hang out. How can I tell? The two Hawaiian performers got into a hula number and four gals of various ages got up and started dancing in sync. But, you wanna know about the food. Well, this place is an arm but not a leg expensive. Everything on the menu is made fresh with... More

Every time we visit Kauaii I take on a search for the best mai tai. Tahiti Nui gets a solid win here for taste and affordability! The food here is also solid, but it's really the staff that makes this place awesome. It's a bit of a dive and very casual. Perfect place for a post-beach lunch! I hear that... More
