Our guide from our photo tour recommended this place and the chili pepper chicken when he learned that we love local food. Levi's recommendation was spot on: the chili pepper chicken, a bit sweet, a bit spicy, tastes wonderful. We got our plates to go. Service was very friendly and nice.

We were here for a quick breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were one of the daily specials. We had a full stack with bacon. Pancakes were full of berries and good. Recommended for a good basic breakfast.

This is the nice little dinner you can hit after being at the beach most of the day. Simple no frills local food you can eat fast. And then you can have its Haupia Pie and stay a little longer just to enjoy the unique flavor, and rich cream filling of the pie. I had lunch here once, but managed... More

Guy you have to check this place out, the chocolate Haupia pie may have the world famous custard maker on Oahu beat. When you ask the cashier for a pie and she says "do I have any left?" You know it's good. Enjoyed the dessert.

Don't forget to pick up a macadamia creme pie on your way home. Good prices and very tasty food. The dining hall of choice for many Hanalei locals. Try one of their "plate lunch specials"

First, the customer service was great. The lady at the counter was super helpful and patient with us. It was hard to decide what to have...menu is big...but we went with the daily special. We found the food to be mediocre. Didn't try the famous desserts.

We stopped here early in the morning on our way to do the Na Pali hike. Locals waiting outside for it to open was a good indication that it would be worth waiting for. We had a breakfast sushi roll that was unlike anything I have seen before. The malasadas and pastries were still warm from coming out of the... More

Based on TA reviews, we went to the Village Snack and Bake Shop for breakfast one day while vacationing in Hanalei. The restaurant is drab, messy and unappealing. The counter staff were not friendly. The breakfast (loco moco, blueberry pancakes, waffles) were okay; nothing special, served on styrofoam plates w/ plastic utensils. Prices were reasonable, about $8-10 per meal.

When we placed the order at the counter, we were warned that it would take 30 minutes to get our food. We were fine with that. You can customize your omelettes with different types of meat including spam, vegetables, and cheese. Omelettes were good. Banana bread was really good.

We grabbed breakfast here before a boat tour. It was recommended as a hole-in-the-wall, which is accurate. Nothing fancy. Breakfast sandwich was good. My family members both got breakfast wraps and said they were great. Lots of locals having coffee, and GMA on TV. Yummy looking desserts too; may have to return to taste those.
