The first night on the Big Island, with our time zones confused, we stopped at Roy's for pupus and drinks. Our adult son who had just arrived from NYC ordered poke, and my husband and I ordered other appetizers that were fantastic. (I wish I could remember what it was). We shared it all and loved it all! The ambiance... More

My wife decided to have dinner here as I had good experience with the restaurant in Los Angeles. Perhaps it was just one night incident at the restaurant but we had a horrific meal experience. We had a crab cake appetizer that was excellent. We then ordered short babyback ribs that was way over marinated with sweet tasting sauce and... More

The setting is very nice and the food is always great... service sometimes seems a bit contrived but at least they get an 'A' for effort. A great place for a special occasion for two but not necessarily a family restaurant unless you want to stretch your credit limit...

Went to Roy's for dinner and it was wonderful. The location is well placed in the Kings Shops. We enjoyed dinner with friends and the it was amazing On the higher priced side but well worth the money. They have a great menu and the deserts are a must!

Had very good meal and reasonably priced. Typical chain styled restaurant feel with broad menu. Excellent service and value for money in this area.

We have been to several of Roy's locations. They all are top notch and the location here is no exception. The location is very nice, on a tranquil lagoon, with a Peek-A-Boo view of the pacific. Wonderful at sunset. The service is excellent, from holding your chair and unfolding your napkin, to ever present refills on water just when needed.... More

We celebrated our anniversary with three grandchildren ages 6-9 and our daughter and her husband. It is expensive, but the food and service were outstanding. The owner or manager (?) came over and talked with us helping us choose from the menu. There was a special menu for children, also. Although it was definitely fine dining, it was comfortable and... It would be a 5 star rating if the front desk girls were not so rude and unwelcoming. The food always shines and our waitress was great. Just get rid of the "unwelcome team". Don't miss out on the misoyaki butter fish!

Our 2nd visit to this Roy's. The food was excellent. I appreciate how they include kids with the different courses: 1st course for kids is the cheese quesadilla, followed by a fruit/carrot course, followed by main course and then dessert. So the kids are not just waiting for the adults to finish up. Our two fish entrees were excellent. We... More

We ate are Roy's back in January as walk ins and it was absolutely amazing so we thought it would be a worthwhile experience again. Our Daughter who celebrated her 18th birthday in May, asked to hold of on dinner celebrations until we were in Hawaii so we could eat here. We stashed away the $$$ and cut into our... More
