First visit for a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 children. The food was good - nice size positions, good presentation, flavour and value. The downside was the service. Our waitress seemed disinterested; she wasn't bad, she just wasn't great either. Our drinks order included a Corona; we were informed it was the only one Ieft in the building.... More

No real variation from the restaurant on the mainland. It did seem the choices were limited, and of course higher prices. Staff was nice.

A nice place . Save a little $$ . Food is decent. What you expect from a restaurant chain. A place to bring the kids. Was told 30 min wait . Got a table in less than 10 min.

The important thing to remember is when you go to a chain restaurant that the food is pretty much the same nationwide. With that said, Macaroni Grill is a favorite spot for locals. Why? Because we don't have many commercialized restaurants on the Big Island. However, in my opinion, the food is not consistent. Every time we eat here it... More

They had a great bow tie pasta meal in an Alfredo sauce with chicken, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. The waitress suggested building a similar dish with rigatoni. It was very good, but not their pasta milano. I ate there for my Bday in Hawaii, and they served a very good Bday piece of cake as a free dessert. Waitress... More

Average food, average prices. Big servings. Good service. Freezing cold temperature in there - bring a jacket. And a scarf.

The service is friendly and the location in Queens Shops can't be beat, but the food quality is poor. The ingredients don't seem fresh; everything tastes old and processed. I haven't tried this chain on the mainland, but I suspect it's a few notches below Olive Garden.

lets face it this is a chain like so many others but the value was reasonable and the food was good for what you would expect of this mass chain restaurant. they were not that busy the day we were their but the service was less than attentive. typical of this type of chain.

Hearty meals, not for health conscious. Portions are super generous, we took half of our order in doggy bags. Friendly service and a lovely surrounding.
