Very good but not great. We had dinner here, instead of Volcano House where we were staying, because of the TripAdvisor reviews. We preferred The Rim at Volcano House. (See subsequent review.) Both entrees we ordered -- two different "catches of the day -- Ahi...More

Our group of four enjoyed a lovely lunch- coconut curried chicken salad, curry chicken bowl and beef burger. Great flavours and quiet restaurant with nostalgic ambience. Service was excellent. Room was a little warm and humid but it is summertime on the Big Island!

We came for lunch after a visit to volcano national park. The food was good. Our party of 4 had sandwiches or burgers. The problem was the restaurant was really warm inside. I get this is an old place, but they should invest in some...More

The view of the volcano "glow" at night was great. The food was average, but expensive. Our waitress was very responsive, and made the evening fun.

The Kilauea Lodge & Restaurant is a class operation. We spent 2 days in the park and commuted from Hilo. The evening of our first day we dined in the restaurant and had lunch there on our second day. In retrospect, we should have stayed...More

My husband jokingly said no puka pants and shirt. Actually we just advise casual elegance (jeans Clean shirt ) a lot of our diners come off the trail so fancy is not required. But honestly we even see fur wraps sometimes

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
