went just for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and was not disappointed. The food is very good and a nice respite from the normal island fare. The service was very good and the ambiance is romantically rustic.

We stopped here for dinner. It had the feel of a western lodge with Hawaiian accents with a bit of german chalet thrown in for good measure, all done well. The food and service were exceptional.

If you like pickles, boy have they got a breakfast for you! Try the Chief Ranger. The massive fireplace gives this place a lot of atmosphere. We enjoyed seeing the Rotary Club friendship "plaques" from all over the world.

A very nice lodge. We ate breakfast here every morning while staying in Volcano. The cornbeef has was outstanding and made from scratch. The staff was always very pleasant.

Excellent from start to finish. Beautiful grounds surround this quaint interior. Service was top notch. Food was really good. Hit this place before entering and exploring the park.

My husband and I decided to see if we could dine here after hiking 10 miles to watch the lava flow into the ocean. They did have openings so we set a time to return after cleaning up. Terri the hostess is very personable, sat us and talked with us for a short time. Our server Kim explained the specials... More

This charmer is minutes from Volcanoes National Park. A former YMCA camp dining hall, it makes a delightful restaurant with high beamed ceilings, a massive fireplace, nicely done food. We did lunch salads there, everything fresh and flavorful.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a big open fireplace. The menu offers a nice selection of food (prices are ok, but not cheap). My wife had fresh fish and I tried a steak. The food was delicious and had a good quality. They also offer nice wines (even locals) and beer from Kona Brewery.

We stayed eight days on the big Island and this was our favorite restaurant. Very clean, excellent, excellent food, reasonably priced, in a comfortable setting. Wish we could have eaten here everyday.

We were staying at the lodge, so the restaurant was just steps from our cottage--but we probably would have driven quite a way to enjoy the excellent food. Breakfast, which was included with our room, was very good, starting with a really sweet papaya half. Then my husband and I both had the Caldera omelette--tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese--with choice of... More

Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere.

Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
