We stayed here two nights. It is a neat old place with lots of charm. There were a couple of things that I did not like about staying there but they were mild for two nights. 1) the honeymoon suite we were in had a fireplace, and everything smelled like soot. The covers, and even my clothes for days after... More

We stayed in the Tutu's Place house for 3 nights while visiting the Volcanos National Park. The lodge is great, the restaurant food is amazing, and it's 5 mins to the park. Tutu's place was great to stay with our family - two bedrooms and a full kitchen.

We went with a tour group and pre-ordered our meals. I had the steak and it was cooked just the way I ordered it. Salad dressings are made there and were delicious. Also homemade soups and some of our group ordered them. Dessert comes with the meal and was homemade lemon bars but they were kind of custardy. Wonderful food... More

We ate dinner at three restaurants while visiting Volcano, and this one had the best ambience and second best food. The menu selection is old school, but our dinners were fresh and well-prepared. Service was excellent.

This is an older style restaurant. Menu is very old school with nothing over the top to get excited about. We went there on a recommendation of a diner at Ohelo Café and wish we would have just stuck with Ohelo Café. Dinner was very underwhelming and the dessert cart of Pre made desserts was not pretty or enticing. By... More

We were staying at the Volcano House for two nights and since we were eating breakfast lunch and dinner there we wanted something different and this place was AWESOME! Totally rustic (reminds me of the Adirondacks in northern New York) with a burning fireplace and wood beams. Menu had some interesting options with Antelope and deep fried steak, but there... More

While we were waiting to be seated, one of the guests in front of us said that we had to read the information about the fireplace before we left. Our fellow guest was from Toronto and said that there was a stone from his city in the fireplace. In front of the fireplace on a coffee table were some laminated... More

Description
Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere.

Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.
