Local lunch spot offering giant sandwiches, bread bowl soups and chili, and Hawaiian specialties like lau lau and loco moco. Nothing fancy here, just great food and friendly service. 'The walk to the clean restroom is interesting." - my wife

We dropped in for lunch, and were greeted by the friendly staff. We ordered up a couple of sandwiches, and went outside and found a table. A few minutes later, our food arrived. The food was good. Very tasty, and freshly made. You might be put off by the decor or the exterior - don't be. This place is worth... More

Good Croissant breakfast sandwich and coffee. The Cinnamon Roles were pretty tasty too. The staff is super friendly and the place has a great local vibe.

I've never written a restaurant review before, but I just have to now. I arrived here with a very tired family of four kids, who stayed in the car while I went to check out the menu. I noticed that that the daily special was spaghetti. When I told my kids, they were ecstatic. They all got out of the... More

We stopped for a late lunch. Most lunch specials were gone so we had the Lau Lau Salad. The food was delicious with great portions but the best value was the restaurant owners - husband and wife were the friendliest of people. We enjoyed a most wonderful lunch along with some great fellowship. By the time we left it was... More

Stopped here in the morning on our way to Volcano National Park and ordered a couple of sandwiches and some bottled water to take on our hike across the volcano. The sandwiches were huge and tasted sooo good after hiking!

Had a satisfying lunch here after our visit to Volcano Park. What a great find! I had the turkey and Swiss with all the veggies on cranberry Mac nut bread. It was the perfect way to refuel after an early start day. The rest of the family enjoyed the char su chicken with rice special (they also had meatloaf that... More
