This is a great restaurant if you love Italian food. Paolo is a world class chef and makes the best Italian dishes on the island. Menu changes daily and all are good.

.....and be transported to coastal Italy! Ignore the closely placed tables, the noisy locals staggering in from the street, well lubricated and ready to party. Ignore the wait staff of ONE, a menu unwritten - recited quickly and barely intelligible over the din, absent of pricing. DON'T ignore the proprietor, Paolo, as he affably works the crowd, offering suggestions and... More

We were told by the locals that this place was good Italian food. They totally undersold it. There is no printed menu. The wait staff know it by heart and go over it with at a nice pace. Everything is made to order. The bread is even home made here. This place would be amazing in NYC and beat out... More

So cute. Small but open door brought the outside in. Food was good. Just like a little italian restaurant in italy with homemade pasta and tasty sauces. The service was friendly and the bread dense crusty with an olive oil sitting on the table. I would go back.

We were the second table of the evening. There are no menus, just specials the server gives you. The mahi sounded amazing and 4 in our 6 top were going to order. Well they had only 2 orders. I got the Lamb Shank "oso bucco style" GZood flavor, but not a lot of food. This is a B.Y.O.B. establishment. Seemed... More

My wife and I had been wanting to try this little, cute, BYOB restaurant for sometime and finally made it in last night. Given the reviews and reputation that service is sometimes off, and that you needed to be patient, we had no real high expectations. We were warmly greeted by both waitpersons and seated immediately. We were served promptly... More

Went here on valentine's day so we booked ahead- i think they were even busier than normal as we had to wait a while for our table. Waitresses kept us informed and were very nice. The wait was worth it for the food- treated ourselves to three courses each and all were excellent. The osso bucco in particular was fabulous.... More

I am very partial to lamb and the way Paolo does his is superb. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. Situated right on the main st in Pahoa, you get to watch all our colorful residents pass by. Prices are not cheap for this area, but the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for dinner for our second night on the Big Island. It's a quaint/small place in the "downtown" of Pahoa. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly waitress. The menu is verbal only; however, it was presented beautifully by the same patient and kind waitress who seated us. They may have had a few dishes posted to the... More

This was real Italian food as good as what I have had in good restaurants in Italy. I had butternut squash filled ravioli that were light, creamy and not sweetened so the taste came through the luscious sauce. My only criticism is that there are no menus to read. The waitress goes through the list rather quickly and it was... More
