A very local scene in the center of Pahoa. It is rustic and if you are into clean and classy this is not the place for you. However if you want large portions of basic Mexican, local conversations and really good Margaritas it the place to be.

Not the best Mexican food in the world. Food can be bland and quality of the meats could be better. Nevertheless very popular in Pahoa. Good service and atmosphere.

Living in a small NM town we get spoiled with awesome Mexican and Tex-mex favors but add the ocean, trade winds, and salt air and you get Luquins! Cold draft beer ( Longboard) from Kona brewing company or a house margarita (Yum! ) and it can't be beat! If you're on the big island and in Pahoa town you really... More

Luquin's is not fine dining by a long shot.... it's an older building with easily as much atmosphere as a hardware store, but the food is great, the prices are really reasonable, the service is friendly, the parking is easy, and it's always filled with a genial crowd. Great place for a relaxed meal with friends...

This is not the best Mexican food, but it's decent. I'd rather go here for the breakfast. Other than the food, the drinks and service is good.

The fajitas were delicious as were the salsa and chips. Prices were very reasonable. Finding a parking space in downtown Pahoa can be a bit challenging but the restaurant is worth it! It can get a bit loud later in the evening.

Luqin's is one of the few bustling places in the sleepy town of Pahoa. It has a full bar and live music, which makes it a loud and busy atmosphere. If you are a tourist and really want to check out local characters and lifestyle-- this is the place! The food is average, but consistent. The waitresses are very busy,... More

Its a perfect place for you to settle your hang over or start a new drinking day in the late morning. They got a decent breakfast menu and the fresly made guava juices. Want ti feel like a local, then pay a visit to Luquin"s.

Nice hang out with good Mexican food. Some nights they have live music. Always can find a table in this large restaurant.
