Our family had breakfast here this morning on the way to the Volcano - it was totally over prices for a totally tasteless breakfast. Service was great - but gosh that food! Two of us were quite ill 20 minutes after we left.

Such a great breakfast and portions are huge and very fresh. We were a group of 5 and not one complaint. While we waited for our food, we were given a farm tour, played with the kittens and the turtle.
We enjoyed a great breakfast at Pele’s followed by an excellent tour at the Puna Gold Estate that supplies many ingredients to the restaurant.
Best breakfast on our entire trip! Fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service. Outdoor seating available. We ordered the fruit plate (exotic fruits), scramble (came with hashbrowns and a side of fruit) and the coconut pancakes which came with 3 types of syrup. Everything was delicious!
Amazing breakfast! The best there is in Hawaii. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the hasbrowns and generous serving of bacon was fantastic. It tastes so good here! I can’t wait to come back. Top breakfast spot in the world for me!! Nice atmosphere and waitress...too.More
An amazing meal . We stopped here and was pleasantly satisfied with every aspect of our dining experience . I didn’t meet the owner but he was sitting behind with another table and I was astonished by his knowledge of the island , I could...listen to him for days. The food was absolutely the best, our best meal of three islands we visited. I would definitely return here again and again.💜💜💜💜More
Great food, lovely outdoor space and very warm and friendly staff. a must stop in Pahoa! There was also live music on Sunday morning. sweet.
The place itself has a great atmosphere with funky decor and amazing murals. Our waiter was great - friendly and efficient. We had the local fruit sampler which seemed small for $7 but was a nice way to try some fruits we'd never tasted before....I had a scramble with cheddar, spinach and mushrooms that tasted very fresh but was a bit bland - it came with hash browns which were deliciously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hubby had the Big Breakfast and said the eggs tasted ultra fresh. The pancakes that came with it were good and they give you three different syrups - the coconut syrup was yummy! We only had water to drink and spent $50 with tip. It was a good experience but we probably wouldn't go back. We cooked fresh breakfast at our rental home the rest of the trip with ingredients from local farmers markets.More
Very cool atmosphere (beautiful painted walls, tables, and chairs) but service was slow and food was meh. Pancakes were good - and served with a choice of coconut, regular or lilikoi syrups. Go for the coconut. Fresh and local ingredients.
I highly recommend the vegan jungle bowl, it was so tasty and healthy! The tofu scramble was delicious as well. Both entrees came with artfully displayed fruit sides. The staff were wonderful and the restaurant had a cool artsy vibe.
Have breakfasted here twice on this family visit to Big I. Have not been disappointed! Big tasty breakfast burritos and egg meals ... incredible juices especially Lilikoi Ginger Dragon fruit 🌸 Friendly attentive servers. Decor felt like being timewarped back to the Haight in the...60s.More
Outstanding location and food..Wow! Ecletic inside, which honestly concerned me. Sometimes locations put more into experience then the food. I was so wrong. The chicken fried steak was spectacular, gravy had great flavor. Great food and coffee!
Delicious breakfast in an eclectic cafe on the way through Puna. Fresh food and great service! Veggie omelette and scramble for the girls and moco loco for the boys.
Highly recommend this farm tour. Stephen is very passionate about his farm. You'll get to see bees, all types of vegetation, cacao, coffee, macadamia and more. And it includes chocolate making, tasting and beverage. $25/person!
This is a rating based on lack of service. We made special plans to visit the area because this looked like a unique spot. The hours changed and varied at different spots on-line, which is definitely understandable with the pandemic. What wasn’t reasonable was calling...ahead on the day we planned and being told that the restaurant was now open all day until 7 PM. We arrived at 4 PM for an early dinner. The sign on the door said 7 PM. We could hear people talking inside, but the doors were locked. Because this was so unexpected we called and were told that there wasn’t any sort of emergency, but that they had closed early because they had so few customers. We were quite disappointed and wouldn’t recommend making a specific trip based on the uncertainty of their hours.More
