As a lover of Thai cuisine, I've tried them all over the state. Ning's is far and away the best. Prices are best for lunch, but not bad for dinner.

Best Thai food in all of Hawaii! The family uses all fresh herbs (you can see them cooking), clean kitchen, amazing spices and flavors! We are locals who run the lava tours down the road so we always pick food up to-go here and it is always delicious. Cute scene when we have time to dine-in also. Amazing, mouth-watering, authentic... ....this joint is downmarket even for a downtrodden area! First, let me qualify myself beyond merely being a tourist who wandered into Pahoa. I've been coming over to BI since 2007, wearing a variety of hats. From my first poisonous taco in "Hippietown" back then, to recent meals which rated decently against my better BI chows, I've watched the area... More

Good food, good value. The portions are huge. They give options for mild, medium, hot, and hotter, but the medium is very hot, so be careful what you order. Tastes good though.

This place had a great ambiance - quiet and cozy. It is a favorite amongst travelers who are fortunate enough to hear about this place from the locals who frequent here often. Very distinctive and inventive curries - pumpkin, vegetarian green. The green papaya salad here is the best on this side of the Big Island. The staff are efficient... More

They serve some of the best Thai food on the island. Great aosphere in this family run establishment. Well worth a visit. Bring your own beer or wine.

Sitting at the table next to a busy street in Pahoa, one gets the feeling they are in Central America... maybe Belize - this is some of the coolest "old school" Hawaiian ambiance I've found on the Big Island. It is a little gritty; and creaky wooden store fronts, ukulele-playing hippies, and open-minded people frequent the area. In addition, the... More

This restaurant is located on Pahoa Rd. in downtown Pahoa, Hawai'i and has been at this location for many years. They do a hefty take-out business but the dining room is very nice as well. The service is prompt, the food is delicious and the price is reasonable. What more could anyone want for?

Neighborhood is a little sketchy, so park your car where you can view it from the restaurant. The food here was great and the waitstaff was pleasant and couldn't do enough to please you. Eveything was fresh and had good flavor. The chai tea was good too! Great please to stop for lunch after swimming at the tide pools.
