I admit, I had second thoughts when we saw this acclaimed fresh fish joint. It definitely fits the hole-in-the-wall stereotype! But I’m happy to report that it lived up to our expectations. The fish was substantial and fresh. The light breading added a little crunch...More

A great place for lunch in Pahoa! The fish was very fresh. The daily special was Opa. We could see the cook prepare the fresh fish. She took large pieces of Opa (4 pcs per order) from the refrigerator and place them in flour, a...More

We had the mahi mahi and the ono. I preferred the mahi mahi because it was more of a lighter fish like cod, my spouse preferred the ono because it was more meaty. Overall, a great dining experience. I'd recommend it.

Friendly owner and employees. Great fish!. We shared ono, mahi mahi, and ahi. Fries were good too. Lots of locals stopped by while we were here so this was definitely the place to be!

The lava flow is all around Pahoa area. The Lava Tree National Park is a GPS location you can use. We stayed at the Lava Tree Bed & Breakfast.
