Everything is fresh and made from scratch. The bread is thickly sliced and the deserts are delicious. We stayed in the motel behind the restaurant for two nights while exploring the Southern part of the island. Be aware that the restaurant closes early, we got back around 7:30 pm and it was closed both nights.

Our family of 6 ate here today and the homemade food was amazingly good! We ordered the salad with fresh fish, jalapeno burger, tuna melt, and pulled pork sandwiches and all were perfect! We all tried a different dessert- lemon bar, banana cream pie, cheesecake bar, chocolate cream pie, mac nut brownie. My favorite was the carrot cake- so fresh... More

Closes at 8pm. We arrived at 7:08 and the closed sign was on the door. Windows were open and lady inside heard we were at door and didn't even apologize or give reason for being closed. Inconsistent hours will hurt this business.

On my way to visit Pele( Volcano Visitor Center ), I drove by unintentionally and stopped for a quick lunch. I ordered a salad and OMG! It was so fresh and with all the right ingredients which really represented the Hawaiian produce, I will drop by intentionally next time for sure. 2 Thumbs Up!

Great lunch spot!!! My wife and I split a Tuna melt sandwich and lilikoi bar that was heavenly! It was a little busy and only one server but there was no wait for the food. Stop in here!

We read about this restaurant in a Hawaiian tour book and decided to try it when we were on the Big Island. It is allegedly the southernmost restaurant in the U.S., but it's real claim to fame should be their food. We had a delicious lunch of wraps and something called an "outrageous grilled cheese". They weren't kidding with that... More

Stumbled upon this place after learning the bakery across the street didn't open until 9am. We were pleasantly surprised by the '50 first dates' feel the place had. Quaint, good breakfast, coffee was a little weak (which is why only 4 out of 5 stars). Would definitely stop again if we are south side in the future!!

Stopped off here for lunch en route to the Punalu'u Black Sand Beach Park. This restaurant bills itself as the southern-most restaurant in the USA. The inside is warmly decorated in a Hawaiian theme. The tuna sandwich and mushroom/barley soup lunch special we ordered hit the spot. The soup was home made and was especially good. Great place for a... More

Looking for a comfortable, affordable, and local spot to eat we decided to stop here. The food was good, and the staff was good. The menu suited what we were looking for that day. The only drawback was that the teriyaki burger fell short on the teriyaki taste. The burger and meal were good, and we left feeling full, but... More
