This fantastic little place was a gem creating custom sandwiches for our excursions around the Big Island.

We just happened to drive past this place on our way back from the volcano. We had a delicious meal with wonderful live music. They had a great selection of pies as well, which are a must if you go visit this place. Enjoy some authentic Hawaiian food at Hana Hou.

Nice clean and quiet lunch place. Decent pie and good coffee. No alcohol. Takes charge cards. MUCH less crowded for lunch than Punaluu Sweetbread Bakery. This seemed clearly for locals.

Such a kind, helpful waitress! The food was good as well. Fish was delicious, and the chicken macadamia nut salad was very good. You will salivate looking at the pies and baked goods. The restaurant has a wonderful, casual island vibe. Will certainly visit here again.

The place was highly recommended by a local, so we stopped by for dinner. It hasn't been updated in about 40 years, but has a local charm. The pork burrito was very good, but fish and chips were overcooked and a little chewy. Overall worth the visit if you want a quick local dinner.

We initially planned on eating at the Bake Shop across the street but the lines were too long. We had read about this restaurant in our travel guide and decided to give it a shot. How fortunate for us because the food was outstanding. We had the standard burgers and the slow roasted pork and it was a feast. We... More

Delicious and decently priced. Friendly. The coleslaw was delicious. If your near by I recommend you stop by and try the food!

Everything is fresh and made from scratch. The bread is thickly sliced and the deserts are delicious. We stayed in the motel behind the restaurant for two nights while exploring the Southern part of the island. Be aware that the restaurant closes early, we got back around 7:30 pm and it was closed both nights.
