Some of the best breakfast food I have ever eaten. I was with a group of 14 and there was a great variety of choices and it was all delicious. Everyone was happy. Plus the service was outstanding: fast, friendly and very attentive. You seldom get service this good in any restaurant. I most highly recommend The Hawaiian Style Cafe.

Drove by twice before we found it. Busy place. The interior looked very old, not dirty, just old décor. Friendly staff, good service, large selection on the menu. No complaints with the food. Only one bathroom, always seemed to be a couple people waiting. French Toast was awesome.

This place is soooo amazing! So glad I heard about it 8 years ago, on our first trip to Hawaii. Returned recently and found they still have the amazingly large pancakes, great service and huge servings. You have to look for it or you can miss it. It's almost across the street from Long's drug store. The servings are large,... More

What a wonderful way to start the day; we were lucky enough to be able to stop by for lunch here before continuing on to Hilo, and boy let me tell you, it was AMAZING! We started with the Hawaiian Sweet French Toast which was perfect and pulled straight from my dreams. I loved the homestyle take on French toast... More

I love this place. There is the traditional Hawaiian fare, and the comfort food we love - the good grindz. I am a sucker for the corned beef hash, but the side of Spam is a nice treat. And always a happy face serving you.

This unassuming place is "outstanding"! I know ono food when I taste it...kalbi beef and teriyaki chicken mixed plate with tuna mac salad and white rice! Washed it down with lilikoi (passion fruit) margaritas...and desert was the tastiest pie I've ever eaten...passion fruit cream pie!!!

The breakfast was great! Pancakes were awesome and huge, went back the next day and had a hamburger and was also good. Pork chops breakfast was also great. The portion was a good size and you could share it. Service was also good. Prices are very reasonable for all the food you get!!

I ordered the omelette with fries rice and churro sweet bread French toast and it was amazing. Portions need to be cut in half, too much waste even though they say they send the scraps to a local hog farm. Delicious but wasteful.

My husband and I stopped here on our trek around the island. Very casual atmosphere and food presentations. Food is very good, homestyle, and they serve absolutely huge portions. Arrive very hungry and/or with expectations to take leftovers home. The Loco Mocos are fantastic. Service is casual as well but very fast from the kitchen. We enjoyed this place and... More

Aloha weluvtotravel2, Thank you for taking the time to do a review. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed our food but we're told you couldn't take home leftovers. I'm not understanding that, since we do serve large portions a great percentage of our guests do request takeout containers. For those who don't take home the leftovers, we support a... More
