Don't go into an L&L expecting a small meal or something that you see on the mainland. It is a quintessential Hawaiian fast food joint. I am partial to the meat dishes like the BBQ'd short ribs. My wife to the Kalua Pork and Cabbage and my son to the Chicken Katsu. We all walked away with left overs that... More

We ate at this L & L location, which served good fast hot and tasty food. Clean facility. One of the best local flavor fast food restaurants. Wide range of chicken, beef and seafood dishes available. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken plate!

My husband had the kalua pork with cabbage bowl, and I had the barbecue chicken bowl. Only $6.25 per bowl. Flavor was excellent; just the right portion. Yes, it is "Hawaiian" fast food, but we really enjoyed our quick meal. Lots of locals at the restaurant!

This is a chain restaurant in Hawaii, offering local food that actually passes for that pretty well. The ribs are pretty good as is the chicken Katsu. All in all, a good place to get that plate lunch fix ..

This is not a restaurant, it is a fast food restaurant. The food was not edible. We had the orange chicken and couldn't find much chicken.

A classic local food joint. Huge portions of ethnic food choices served with a homemade flair. Teri beef and bento were are favorites...Mac salad and rice a must. This is where the real people of Waimea eat...families, construction crews, ranch workers. If you're a tourist, go and ask what the various ethnic choices are...be adventurous...you won't be disappointed or hungry.

Fast service, good Hawaiian food, low prices. Fish or meat, it is all tasty. Whether you take out or eat in, food it served in Styrofoam trays. It tastes good, serving size is large, but you do generate a lot of garbage eating here.

If you're looking for a budget meal you can't go wrong with L + L. We make a visit every time we're in Hawaii. For lunch we generally share a plate and it is more than enough food for the 2 of us. The restaurant is clean and the service is very quick. The macaroni salad is terrific.

try the chicken katsu, if your visiting HI, it will come with white rice and the best macaroni salad on the island! and its cheap! and probably healthier than McDonalds! I eat here at least twice a month!
