Had lunch here for the first time and will be back. Extensive menu full of local food with variety of saimin and noodles and daily specials. Price is good, large portions and service excellent.

Not only was the food here amazing, but the service was incredible. We came in late at night on a Sunday after hiking Mauna Kea and we were starving, totally wiped out with altitude sickness, and suffering from low blood sugar. The staff went out of their way to feed us (delicious food => I recommend the spicy ramen or... More

Lunch time in Hilo brings lots of choices. Noris brings the saimin. Good simple flavors. Service was friendly, sometimes a bit slow. Maybe it was just the end of the lunch rush. Parking can be difficult as the lot is often full.

Hidden in an off the street strip mall, Nori's has been around for over 30 years focusing on Hawaiian foods, notably Saimin. We love the Hello Kitty decor and the oddly uncomfortable booths. We ordered Saimin soup, Hilo style and loved it. Go for the small size; the large is like a gallon of Saimin. There's a lot more to... More

Not many places open at 10 pm but we stumbled into Noris--recessed off the street. A large menu of western, Hawaiian and Asian dishes reasonably priced, freshly prepared and served quick enough

I love noodle soup and the saimin here filled us up. We ordered the small bowl saimin special - which included chicken on sticks and extra nappa cabbage. The broth was flavorful and it was a generous portion of noodles.

Loved the food. Great place to go for sampling local delicious saimin noodles. The place is very local, so manage your expectations about the atmosphere. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and some updating.

I ordered the hilo style saimin, small size and it was delicious, simple and large for a small. My hubs had the same but in the large size, ample portions and delicious flavor. My only wish is that the service wasn't so harried, and they had more spicy options. Do not miss the mochi chocolate cake loaf, so delicious!!

Nori's has always cooked up tasty local-ish food. After sampling the Tsukemono Salmon at the Bite of Hilo I had to try it in their restaurant. It is excellent . . . they have combined two seemingly incongruous ingredients into a wonderful entree. The restaurant isn't fancy and it's a bit hole-in-the-wall-ish, but the food is tasty, and I like... More

Big servings! Selection to suit everyone's desire. Japanese style like Shoyu butterfish. American like Hamburger Steak coming out on a sizzling cast iron plate.
