There was no one in when we walked in early evening so wasn't too sure about the place. Wide choice on the menu and I had delicious tempura chicken for my main with rice and spring rolls on the side. Big portions, reasonable prices and tasty. Just could do with a bit more ambiance. Strangely, they didn't have satay chicken... More

If you are looking for an excellent, replenishing menu that has something for everyone, Royal Siam is your restaurant! The exquisite Thai cuisine, its amazing taste, cultural décor, friendly staff, and quiet, comfortable atmosphere has had our family coming back weekly for more than twenty two years! This is a small family owned restaurant and has cooked consistently good meals... More

Like most Thai places the decor is well...serviceable. The food was great! From the fresh shrimp rolls to the shrimp satay or the Pad See Ew, the Green Curry Chicken and the Pad Thai were all great! Very reasonably priced. Our family of 6 feasted for $80.

Our family of 5 had a delicious dinner here for about $70US. Excellent service, very flavourful, and large portions (took home a few doggie bags). Nothing fancy, but good thai food!

Friends who live in Hilo took us here for dinner while we were visiting. Very good Thai. Good service.

The restaurant is located on Mamo Street across from the Wednesday/Saturday market in downtown Hilo. Aside from the fact that it is an oasis from the rain and heat, the food was quite good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. All in all, a good place to eat to plan the next adventure in Hilo.

Very bland over priced food, not at all interesting. No ambience at all. We only went in because we had no other ideas and were new in town. Never again

This is our must-go-to restaurant when in Hilo! The food is consistently good! The menu is large, but we can't get enough of the Green Curry. We usually do take-out, but there is a pleasant dining room as well. It is right up the street from the Farmers Market, next to the KTA grocery store.

I love Thai Food. If you like Thai Food also, go to Naung Mai, which is up another block and behind the Garden shop. It is not fancy in ambiance like Royal SIAM but the food is much, much better and in bigger quantity. The best Thai food in Hilo (my opinion) is Sombat's. Really fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious.... More
