If you're in Hawaii you should try the loco moco and there is no better place than this to find a variety you will like. The portions are huge, prices low, staff friendly, plenty of space to sit, and the food is tasty. What more could you want. We found that one breakfast fed 2 people fairly well!

Awesome place to eat. Our daughter loved the place. It was the place to go in Hilo @ lunchtime. Don't forget to get the combination at the casher to use the bathroom!

Due to a gluten sensitivity, I ventured off the beaten path at Cafe 100 and ordered grilled mahi mahi. To my surprise the grilled mahi was battered in flour just like the breaded mahi. I nicely asked if it could be grilled again and the server was very polite to accommodate my request. However, to my surprise, I found a... More

Reviews in Trip Advisor are spot on. This is long-term cafe in Hilo that locals frequent. We ate about 7 PM, chose this because of menu variety and price. Not a fancy place, but serves good food. Despite late hour for dinner, locals streamed through on regular basis. Plenty of outdoor seating. Prices were extremely reasonable for a restaurant in... More

After a long day at Volcano National Park, we stopped here for a very late lunch/early dinner. It's a good option for quick, cheap local food, which is exactly what my husband was craving. He got the Kilauea Moco and really enjoyed it. I opted for chili and rice, which was nothing special, as far as I was concerned. I... More

I was told to try a loco moco. We were on our way to Mauna Kea and looked at their menu online and decided to stop for dinner. They have a huge selection of items on the menu. You order at the counter, then wait for your food. There are plenty of tables on each side of the building (outside... More

We were driving around looking for "crowds" and saw the stream of locals coming and going. Service is fast, lots of food. Loved the beef stew - huge local carrots and chunks of potatoes and soft tender beef. My friend had a BLT. This is home town cooking with friendly fast service. Not sure what to order? ask a friendly... More

This is fast food in speed and taste. I recommend trying the breaded food over any grilled option. We all went with their special on grilled fish. It came with rice and macaroni salad. The salad was the best part. The fish was a thin patty like you buy in frozen foods for a fast burger. You are given 3... More

Great, cheap, quick local food! Probably not the healthiest but so filling and friendly staff! We highly recommend Cafe 100 for local food! We will be back for more!
