After eating airport food and airline snacks, we wanted a healthy tasty meal our first night in town, so we found Miyo's without a reservation. Located in the middle of a strip mall with little fanfare, the service was friendly and very quick. Prices very reasonable. May go back before we leave. Recommend it.

Excellent Japanese food in a pleasant family style restaurant. Have been coming here for years and it is consistently good. Entertainment (on weekend evenings, I believe) that is tasteful guitar music. No liquor license so BYOB is welcomed.

Bento box is so yummy. I ordered salmon and tempura, which was really good. Perfectly prepared and generous portions. Really a great place to eat. Excellent service and they let our dog sit with us outside at the table, even bringing her a dish of water.

Hilo, HI is a small town, but making reservations are still crucial! Well known for their sesame chicken (highly recommend). The combination plates are at a fair price, which come in lots of varieties. Ramen here is a must. Average service, given how busy this play can be. Usually ate during dinner, which has live music (a plus!). Lesson: Take... More

Selected on of their specials for the day - grilled ahi. Service was good and the meal preparation was how i wanted it served - rare inside. I will go back again to try regular menu items on my next visit to Hilo.

We stopped here for dinner on the recommendation of a local resident, and it proved to be an excellent choice. I sampled a number of items from the menu, and all were expertly prepared and delicious, especially the tempura. This restaurant is a local gem.

My family was looking for a nice meal on our last night in Hilo. We found Milo's, and it looked different and interesting. When we got there, we were seated immediately (it was pretty early), and our waiter came by to get our drink order. We had a couple of questions about the menu since it's a little confusing for... One of Auntie's favorites, so we all went. Reservations are highly recommended. This is a casual, family oriented Japanese restaurant. The decor is great, live entertainment (a mellow guitar player) perfect and the food was excellent with generous portions. I have no idea of the bill as Auntie snatched it out of my hand.

This place has been there sinc they built up the building a few years ago, but I never went there till my wife was hungry for Japanese. We got there at 12 on Sunday, at the peak of busyness, but got seated quickly and service was prompt. I had the vegetable tempura...wow, wish I could go there every day! Eggplant,... More

Everything you could want from American Japanese food. Wait time was quick and staff was excellent. Located close to the airport
