An interesting place to see many different kinds of fish. This place is for buyers for restaurants, or whole sale to ship out by plane to cities like Honolulu.

Whenever I come to Hilo, I buy poke bowl for lunch! The fish there is excellent and never let me down♪ I also buy fresh fish there for BBQ and some Japanese food.

This place had an enormous selection of poke plus some beautiful fresh fish for the grill. We got a large slab of ono that was wonderful when grilled back at the house.

Suisan is a Hilo institution. If you want your fish "fix" this is the place to go. Lots of choices (including brown rice), sizeable portions and great side dishes for you to put together your perfect meal. Great place if you're in a hurry, it won't take you long to get in and out. If you love poke (raw fish)... More

This a more of fish market and a sit down restaurant. Great selection, huge portions.. Poke plate is plenty of food for 2 people. Take food to park across the street for a nice picnic. In the morning you see the boat coming with the day's catch.

Needed some poke and was able to go when they had a special. They just had winning entries at the Brewfest. They are always busy yet get to customers fast and efficient. The new set up is way better too.

Good selection of Poke, and fresh fish caught here on the Island. I've been wanting to try the mango habanero poke for years now, and it didn't disappoint

Based on the reviews, I made it a point to stop by while we were in Hilo. We hung out at Coconut Island all morning (just down the street, so beautiful) and came by for lunch. We both chose the 2-picks poke bowls, and I tried the ahi Hawaiian and the kimchee shrimp. They serve the fish on warm rice,... More

Went there for Ahi to cook sear at home after reading about it on TA and Yelp. Ended up getting a 2.2lb single slab of it @ $13/lb. The fish was fresh (period). They also used a new pair of gloves for each customer. A very well run fish market.

nothing better than fresh fish prepared island style, best Poke bowls ever had. Little shop with raw and cooked meals and rice cooked the way it should be. Came with a ravenous appetite after visiting Akaka Falls so a bit biased. Ordered various poke bowls for a family of 4 which we enjoyed at a local chill spot for the... More
