The Soprano Cake is exceptional. Many other choices for top grade deserts and eats. I understand this place is almost a hobby with the owner but wish they were open more traditionally. You need to buy your stuff early cause she makes small batches. Call ahead to not be disappointed.

Chocolate Croissant left me wanting more. Regular Croissant likewise. I would be a regular. Worth a trip, I enjoyed everything I purchased and had the France dessert experience in Hilo.

Oh my word, I will never be able to eat a grocery store croissant again! The Belgian Chocolate Croissant was delightful, but the Frangipane Croissant was pure heaven in my mouth! I'm sure the raspberry lattice bar and Citrus Serenade cheesecake are supremely excellent, since they are also gone into my belly, but if you don't have room for FOUR... More

We return every time we're in Hilo. The macaroons are my ultimate favorite....given a slight twist on the recipe filling with truffle, a change over traditional Parisienne style, and totally an advantageous one. This is a small store, one block over from the market....and worth the stop after visiting the famous Hilo market, as there is nothing like this at... More

After you have tried her pastry it is hard to go back to mass produced sweets. I have purchased whole cakes for special events. None of your guests will be disappointed.

We were recommended this place by a local and also saw good reviews online. The two ladies working were extremely kind and provided excellent service. I tried the salmon quiche and my sister ordered the Frangipane croissant. Both were so yummy and hit the spot. We also both ordered iced coffees, which were also wonderful. No espresso machine, but they... More

Full disclosure: I'm crazy about almond croissants. We discovered Moonstruck a few years ago and loved everything we had there. Last year when we visited Hilo, we chose the 3 days that the bakery was closed so we were devastated. This year we hoped that the quality of the bakery goods remained consistent and we are so happy to report... More

This beautifully decorated French patisserie is an enchanting little place to enjoy good strong coffee and delicate, delicious pastries. I had the lilikoi cheesecake, which was perfectly dense and not too sweet. The chocolate cheesecake was equally delicious; rich and decadent, without being overtly sweet. The croissants were flying out the door as we enjoyed a rest after our Farmers... More

This is a very special friendly place. The french pressed coffee tasted great along with some very tasty scones and croissants. Our surprise was how friendly everyone was. This is a spot the locals come for the morning treat and conversation.

One of my favorite coffee plus places in Hilo. Small seating area but most folks come to buy cakes and pastries to take home for special occasions. Very limited opening days as I think the owner/baker puts so many hours into doing it right that she gets tired!!! If it is open when you walk by, do go in
