Nice setting but food was at best average only. Service was quite nice but could not make up for dry fish or gritty scallops

We had lunch here on our drive from Volcano to Kailua-Kona on the recommendation of our hosts in Volcano, who planned to eat there themselves. They had us at watch koi while you eat. We both had fish and chips and lilikoi iced tea, and split a brownie with ice cream for dessert. The fish and chips was hot, crispy,... More

Relatives suggested this restaurant to meet. It was Wednesday, which was Lamb night. Each day is a different themed special meal. I had the Lamb chops which was so tasty. The meal had 3 chops, vegetable, choice of starch(wish I'd taken picture of meal). The salad was also good, have with papaya seed dressing, sooo good. There was Live music... More

We arrived without a reservation around 6:30 and got a table but it started filling up soon after. The pumpkin curry could have been spicier - spiciness options would have been great, but the coconut fish (ahi?) was excellent. We enjoyed leftovers the next day. The wait staff worked well together and took care of our every need. I only... More

Stopped here after I finished a helicopter tour. We were seated immediately. Our servers were all very friendly and attentive. Husband got the baked scallops and I got the Chardonnay shrimp fettuccine. Both were very good. We finished off with dessert--lillikoi cheese cake and creme brûlée. Both were on point. It overlooks a koi pond and because I'm basically a... More

We were taken here by a local. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I ate one of the lunch specials while my wife and friend had fish-n-chips. All our meals were plentiful and very tasty.

My husband and I ate at The Ponds after our Safari helicopter tour. We got a nice table overlooking the pond and were entertained by the ducks and young boys and girls swimming and jumping off the barrier by the road. The menu had a nice selection and our waitress was friendly. My husband ordered shrimp and crab wrap with... More

A unique place, mix of locals and tourists. Probably a better drinking hole than a dining destination, however my blackened fish wrap was fresh and ample, just lacked a lot of seasoning. I'd expect something acidic to go with the fish. But the accompanying veggies were good. The "tropical slaw" was canned coleslaw, skip it. The burgers looked and tasted... More

Best location in Hilo! Pond, local activity, and koi fish. Great selection on menu. Nicole was our server and she was very attentive. The crab melt was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place.
