5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

Great find while driving to the end of the road. Service was prompt & has nice local decor. Food was very good. The owner is very present and on top of everything. We asked for cup of tea, but it must have been forgotten. The owner apologized & had someone bring it right over. She came back to find out... More

Well worth the drive to reach Havi and this great restaurant. Had the catch of the day. Dont be afraid to double up the portion as you will want more. The pot stickers are like none other youve had. Very casual and inexpensive for what you get.

Up for a little island adventure? Try driving the Kohala Mountain Road (Hwy 250) from Waimea to Hawi and take in the breathtaking scenery of the ocean coast from 3,500ft elevation...Beautiful! Then, at the end of your mountain drive, stop for an authentic island inspired lunch at Bamboo Restaurant. The passion fruit ice tea and pineapple BBQ ribs are to... More

Cute little town. Nice change from the busy Kona area. Good food and friendly staff. We had great locally sourced lunch after a morning hike at the end of the road

We stopped for brunch on a rainy Sunday driving on the North Kohala Coast. This is a 100+ year old building and it's somewhat musty on a rainy day. We both had the omelette special and it was average at best. That said, there is some interesting history to the building itself and an art gallery upstairs. The gift shop... More

Well, yuh know, when yuh order an omlette, yuh're not ordering an innovative, inspired meal. Omlettes are on the brunch menu for people who don't want a surprise. Yuh coulda ordered something more interesting. And yuh both ordered the same thing so yuh didn't get out of the box. So, I hope yuh do find better food elsewhere. More

Super cute cafe in Hawi with a fun shop and gallery and good food. The Vietnamese salad with fresh fish was delicious for lunch. Staff was attentive and prices are reasonable. Everyone was drinking the passion tea too.

Stopped here because my brother said I had to. Friendly staff and great lunch choices. Strip calimari was ok but the Thai salad was great with wonderful flavors complimenting the fresh fish of mahi mahi that we added. The best of bamboo had nice tasters of their appetizers, between the three we were stuffed. Fair pricing for what we received.

We usually stay in the southern part of the big island but decided to venture up to Hawi on this trip. We are so happy we did! Not only was the food amazing, but it was priced reasonably! That is difficult to find in Hawaii. They also had a local band playing which our whole family really enjoyed. No one... More
