Mahalo Ashley! Thanks for the great service and remembering us after our first visit. These were the best pork chops I have eaten since Side Street Inn in Oahu. They were so good that we came back again. So juicy and tender. We will definitely...More

The wait staff is super friendly here and the food is good. You get a lot of sides, it's served family style and you will not go home hungry. I enjoy looking at the old pictures of the place too.

I grew up in Kona but in my early years, I've never eaten at Manago Restaurant. My family's coffee farm were surrounded by Japanese coffee farmers. My ethnic background is Filipino but it did not stopped me from learning the Japanese way of life. At...More

We went because our hosts at Areca Palms Estate B & B recommended it as historic and also good food. We found it to be both. And our food was mixed with both island food sides and main course main stream food. Pickled seaweed is...More

Came to Manago Hotel for these infamous pork chops I keep reading about in my Hawaii mag. We were soooooo happy we did. I don't know what they do to them but they had the best flavor and so juicy!! Apparently the pan they use...More

We made a stop at the Manago Hotel and Restaurant because we had heard so much about it's history during the old plantation days. Stepping foot into the hotel entrance is almost a throwback in time. It's almost 100 years old and run now, I'm...More

The pork chop rave reviews on TripAdvisor got us here for dinner, but our chops were disappointing-tough and too dry was the vote from 3 out of 4 who ordered them. The fourth loved her chops, go figure? The gravy was simple brown gravy, so...More

If you had south from Konan through the coffee plantations you'll pass this old hotel/restaurant; worth a stop. They serve as side dishes seaweed, rice noodles with chicken, and Hawaiian potato salad all good, fish isn't fresh but still good, great friendly service

The rooms and the food are very basic local style. Some of the rooms are Japanese in style with tatami mats.

Read all the reviews and decided to try them for lunch. My husband had the opakapaka and I had the pork chops. Nothing was disappointing! They served steamed veggies, potato salad, rice and bean sprouts in a sesame oil - family style. Everything was fresh...More

I agree with the previous writer. Food and drinks are a bargain. The wine selection is very limited. Their menu is actually written on a blackboard, not printed. Two of us had lunch and drinks for $20.
