The friendliest people and the best Chinese food on the island. I enjoy going there and always welcomed with a smile.

We've been here before and it has been consistently good. My husband loves a big won-ton soup with lots of chicken and beef in chunks and mustard greens. We also had egg fu young. Very good indeed. As long as you are not expecting some pretentious chain it is the best deal around. It is popular with locals who buy... More

This was a spot recommended by our host from B&B for take-out to enjoy on our deck. Can tell it is popular from all the local customers. Good, budget food, and lots of choices

First off anyone who has spent any time on the Big Island knows that there is no "by Mainland " standards any even average Chinese food. Hong Kong Chop Suey would considered average by mainland standards. However it's very good by island standards. If you have the Yen for Chinese food it's the best your going to do. I will... More

These folks cheat. Not only is food drowning in oil, but carefully sliced pieces of pure fat are passes off as beef - about the same with chicken. When I tried to complain the fell back on the don't speak English routine - Just plain disgusting !

We picked up dinner here one night. The food was good. Service was quick and friendly. My son really liked the chow mien and fried rice. I enjoyed the sweet and sour pork. Great place to grab a quick meal. Will be back

It is a "typical" Chinese food establishment. Inexpensive, slightly better than average food, quick service, polite. What else did you expect? We had a nice pile of food to go and were pleased with the quality and quantity.

Had a craving for Chinese food, so we simple headed to Hong Kong Chop Suey. Quick and easy, order from the menu, or order from the prepared, warm section. either way, service is fast, and the staff friendly. They do use MSG, but if you ask them in advance, they are usually willing to prepare without.

Just very average Chinese food. Oh, you want rice? You have to pay extra. That's a new one for me. I can't say I would go back, but if it was the only place open, it would be ok.
