We stopped for an early lunch on a casual drive down the coast. Thankfully it is the "off" season and we were able to get a parking place and a nice table easily. We both ordered the ham and turkey sandwich, grilled but on different breads. Both sandwiches were excellent as was the 100% Kona coffee with plenty of refills.... More

Great location and view, poor food and service. We waited 45 minutes for two eggs and potatoes: eggs arrived cold, the poached in a puddle of water.

The parking is tight, but the sandwiches were as advertised in Trip Advisor. Greeting, seating and service were prompt and friendly. We were entertained by two hang gliders heading down to the shore for most of our lunch from our incredible perch on the side of a cliff. Unfortunately, we did not have time or inclination to stay for coffee... More

Driving south from Kona Route 11 on the way to Pu'uhanoa we stopped in for lunch. We all had sandwiches which were wonderful... Almost as wonderful as the view. Very friendly folk work there. From the look outside I would not have stopped, but prior trip advisor reviews encouraged us to stop. Well worth it!

Oh my, where do I begin...oven baked bacon that is then fried in coconut oil, perfect eggs, no matter how they're ordered, tasty breakfast potatoes, enormous omelets, heavenly bread and baked goods, and smooth and delicious Kona coffee brewed from beans grown on-site. And geckos, lots and lots of delightful geckos. I’m afraid I can’t comment on this wonderful restaurant’s... More

This place was recommended to us by a local. It is not a large establishement, only about a dozen tables. We arrived midmorning, and got right in. The food we ordered was tasty. We had the french toast and the fish benedict. The view is awesome; it overlooks the ocean from a distance. Very green. Got a cookie to eat... More

My title is perhaps misleading because I've only been to the Coffee Shack once. My wife and I are new residents of the island (first year) and we're constantly exploring new places and new experiences. We like the specialty grocery store in Capt. Cook so we decided to go early and have breakfast at Coffee Shack first. We planned to... More

This is the go to for breakfast so be prepared for a wait. It's also difficult to get a parking place but once inside with a sweeping view of the coast...it's all worth it. Try the luau bread.

Only a very few times in my life have I experienced such a stunning view as the one you can admire at the Coffee Shack. The service is friendly and the food good - although the view is definitely the best feature! Prices are medium to high.
