What a pleasure it was to find this little gem in the midst of the wide open road! The atmosphere felt very warm and friendly (no masks!), the servers were very kind and efficient, and the coffee and our sandwich were both fantastic! We also...enjoyed visiting the Farm Girls Boutique right next door with a lot of really cute clothing, jewelry and other accessories.More

Co-located with the Farm House women boutique, the Java Jar has great coffee and tea and lots of options for breakfast and breakfast goodies. Locally owned we had lunch here twice. Soups excellent - the bread served with it, to die for. Lots of tables...and huge windows for watching what's going on, on Main Street. They also sell some cool gifts.More

Starbucks has nothing on this place, great coffee, great staff, wonderful food and cool location in downtown Torrington. This place is a wonderful place to grab a cup of joe and hang out.

We ordered a breakfast egg and black bean burrito and a sausage and egg bagel sandwich and both were a disappointment . Pretty sure they didn’t cook anything fresh and just microwaved them. Coffee was flavorless. The reviews we read were all good for lunch...so maybe lunch is their strength. Unfortunately , Breakfast and good coffee isn’t.More

While traveling we needed to stop for a rest and a bite of lunch. Stumbled upon the Java Jar and what a great place for lunch. Java Jar is a small cafe located inside a shared building with the Chamber of Commerce and a boutique....It has an Inviting and colorful atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. We had the chef and spinach strawberry salads. Worth a stop.More

We were driving to South Dakota and got hungry. My wife found this place through google. Its located inside a kinda strip mall like building on a corner. Torrington is very small so its easy to find. By far they have some of the best...made coffee I have found. But moreover they have really good homemade soups and sandwiches and homemade goodies. The place is not fancy, but the food and people there are worth stopping for. On our way back we actually went out of our way to visit it a second time. I confidently say that I think anyone going here will not leave disappointed. I just wish I could visit this place more often.More

The coffees, the Italian sodas, the soups, the salads, the specials—all are excellent! Combine this with a beautiful store and amazing service, and they have a real winner. Sadly, they close at 4:00 pm.

Stopped for coffee as it always seems to be open. Coffee, service and selection of goodies was very fine. Will surely return. Also, looks like a nice area to sit with friends and chat. Large and well lit.
