Our expectations for Tensleep were not high but Dirty Sally's helped to exceed them. We got some very good shakes which tasted great on a hot day and the shop was filled with an eclectic mix of supplies and novelties.

The smoothies are delicious. They have everything a convenience store has and more. Ice cream and espresso with lots of flavors.
A great little general store with some unique goodies & a few tourist type stuffs, small food stuffs (cereal, canned goods, etc), and the world's best ice cream stand! They hand-make and hand-roll their own waffle cones. Fresh, warm, amazing waffle cones made as you...watch. The staff was friendly and great to talk with. And, of course, the ice cream tasted great - and just what we needed on a 93* summer day.More
We’ve been going to Dirty Sally’s for decades! Best ice cream going, it fun to see my kids taking their kids there. Great atmosphere, over the years they’ve added merchandise, some great art work as well as a lunch menu. A must stop place on...highway 16 in route to Yellowstone.More
Very friendly atmosphere where we found gifts for friends and sat down for a very delicious ice cream treat. The lady in charge was very helpful in finding what we needed from the store, and even said we could order from them as new merchandise...arrived by just calling her. Be sure to ask for the post card explaining the history of the unusual name of the town (Ten Sleep).More
Name: Dirty Sally was a American comedy-drama Western series which ran on TV in 1974. She was a cantankerous, tobacco-chewing, rough-talking, and hard-drinking 62-year-old on her way west to pan for gold. Historical Bldg. This rustic building was originally built in 1918 as a bank....Over the years it has found use as a Post Office, Drug Store, Ice Cream Parlor and a Gun Smith Shop. It is a fun, historic store in a town with equal amounts of history. Tensleep was 10 sleeps for the Native Americans from three main camps. When you see the country, you will know why this was their hub for traveling. Many locals stop here so you know it is a great place to eat, get a few groceries and travel on. I stop here for a sandwich, coffee and ice cream when I travel on the nearby loop tours.More
A little store with a lot of things, lattes, ice cream, local art and groceries. Don't miss it! They have great shakes, organic farm eggs, posters for all the rock climbers, and souviners for the kids. An incredible grocery selection for a little store. A...true gem in a small townMore
Stopped in at Dirty Sally’s, very quaint little convenience store, was very surprised to see that they have a great variety of ice cream, with homemade waffle cones. Need to stop by when you are in town. Very friendly folks, clean store, helpful folks. Stop...by, and you will see.More
A fun little souvenir/grocery/ice cream parlor/lunch spot in Ten Sleep run by friendly, helpful people. The ice cream is hand dipped and the sandwiches sell out quickly they are that good. Looking for fresh fruit, fresh vegetables or a fruit smoothie? This is the place.
Dirty Sally's has only recently added a few menu items for breakfast - as the other breakfast spot in Ten Sleep isn't open early occasionally. What we had were pastries & muffins - all of which were fresh and very delicious!! Now - as for...their coffee . . . . AWESOME!!!! And the best part is - they even sell it, and a variety of other blends - as beans or ground so you can enjoy it again when you get home!! A very friendly staff and the place is always filled with locals who are just wonderful to chat with. Take those few extra minutes and hear some amazing history here!!More
Lots of people and there looked to be a good amount of basic supplies in the shop. We stopped in search of a good cup of coffee but this was pricey and unimpressive. Too bad because they have a lot of business and could really...stand out in the area.More
Only place to get espresso in TenSleep now that the coffee shop on the corner closed. Good coffee, convenient hours.
Ten Sleep is a "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" tiny town. We took a scenic drive from Buffalo through Ten Sleep Canyon (absolutely beautiful drive!) and stopped in Ten Sleep. We were hoping to find some ice cream but everything seemed to closed for the season. We spotted the..."ice cream" sign outside Dirty Sally's general store and went inside. We were immediately greeted with the smell of freshly made waffle cones. We knew we'd hit pay dirt! Sure enough, at the back of the general store was a little ice cream counter with hand-dipped ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and the waffle cone was so good.More
This little gem goes from rattlesnake mounts to double-dip chocolate moose track ice cream cones and many things in between. A fun journey through western memorabilia from cool to not-so-cool stuff. Give it a look if you are in town!
I only went there to get ice cream so can't comment on anything else, except to say it looked like they had a good array of fresh produce. Now back to the ice cream. It was amazing and I am a bit of an ice...cream snob. They had several interesting flavors and it was as creamy as ice cream gets. Will definitely be going back for a repeat visit next time we are in Ten Sleep. Only gave 4 stars because the shop itself is nothing special and the service was quite slow. Didn't bother me but it might some people.More
