I was surprised by this restaurant. The beer was good and the food, Rock Chicken including mashed potatoes, was very good. The portions were just right. The service was friendly and prompt. The prices seemed very reasonable but not low budget. Well worth it though!!!...The atmosphere is rustic but friendly and warm. This was the only place that seemed open at 8:30 pm in this small town. It was well visited on a Friday night. I'm glad we went.More
Rock Ranch Grill didn't look like much from the outside (attached to a gas station), and the interior was nothing to rave about either. But the menu had a lot of great options and the food was good. I had the Rattlesnake Pasta (penne with...chicken, jalapenos and a spicy cream sauce) and it was delicious. Large portion. Included soup or salad. My partner had the sirloin, which came with two sides. The steak was kind of bland, could have used more seasonings...but was cooked as requested, and very tender and juicy. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was not busy, but the waitress was very pleasant and nice.More
The restruant is clean and the food is decent. The service was good and friendly. Located in a small town and it gives off that type of atmosphere. So if anything it is a good place to eat and expirence a small town restaurant.
We were on our way to Minnesota and were looking for a dinner stop. We ordered a steak and were very pleased with our meal. Service was prompt and everyone was friendly. Prices were decent. My husband
and I shared a meal with an extra...salad. Plenty of food for both of us.&More
My beef tips were saltier that the ocean that yielded the shrimp. I'm told the shrimp were delicious, so I clearly made the wrong choice. Service was good, despite it being a busy night and the servings were generous.
If you're driving along I-80 near the Nebraska wyoming border and get hungry. This is the place! Actually it's one of two places with the same owner (breakfast and lunch are excellent next door at cafe 307). Anyhoooo - always try the daily homemade soup...option. They had an amazing 'stuffed green pepper' soup last week that was to die for! Steaks are great as are the burgers. I'd avoid shrimp, pretty much frozen restaurant brand that isn't all that great. If you have a salad, you must try their homemade southwestern honey mustard salad dressing. I've had dreams about it. This is a true wyoming family and cowboy restaurant that you'll remember. It ain't fancy, just good eats on the road and the hospitality is off the charts excellent.More
