Grab your chopsticks and dig in! Easy takeout and delicious sauces done just right! The ginger salad dressing was perfect! We had teriyaki chicken and tofu udon. It was ready in 20 minutes. We’re just driving thru and this dinner hit the spot!

From the street, it doesn’t look like much. But not only is there more space inside than I’d imagined, the food and service was first-rate. All staff was pandemic measure compliant — not the case in every Laramie restaurant. Service was quick, friendly, extremely congenial...though quite professional and the food was wonderful. We had a simply excellent experience! Great place.More

I ate here while visiting Laramie in June 2019. On this recent visit, I wanted to dine here again. Of course, a Saturday night on a holiday (Labor Day) weekend meant that with limited seating due to the pandemic, I would have to wait. It...was a longer wait than anticipated, but I didn't mind too much. On my previous visit, I ordered gyoza and katsudon, which were both delicious. This time I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer and the California roll (fried). Between the four shrimp accompanied by plenty of vegetables, and eight sizable pieces of maki, I was sated. Along with a small carafe of sake, my ticket was only $20. I received great food at a reasonable price. The staff seemed a bit stressed given the circumstances, but remained professional while dealing with diners and a slew of delivery/take-out orders.More

We were surprised to find a Japanese restaurant in Laramie. The sushi was very good indeed, and the soups were excellent. We would definitely return to explore more of the menu. The staff was careful and seating appropriate during corona times.

For serious sushi lovers Wyoming is a ocean in a desert. Don't believe the ratings from local diners; they don't know what real sushi is. But Niko Sushi & Steak is honestly the best sushi I've had in Wyoming. I am a sushi addict, I...have withdrawls but I won't just settle. The best sushi I've found is in Minneapolis, California, and the East Coast. You know places close to the water. Duh.More

We tried it during the pandemic and found they were trying to social distance but the place is so small it really does not work. The sushi and teriyaki were not that great and we could not afford steak. We won't be back.More

DOUG K, We're limiting our occupancy to 15 people, and following safety precautions from CDC/health department. We're checking all our staffs temperature and making sure they're healthy, enforcing masks, wearing gloves, disposable menu, and social distancing. Though they were a kid friendly place, each dish ended up costing around $15 (at least) a plate. Add that up with edamame for an appetizer and Japanese sodas for two kids and suddenly you see a $100 total for dinner. At that rate, I...expect to be swept off my feet by the amazing food. I was not. Dishes were minimal on meat, huge on rice.More

Jasmine, our apology for missing your expectation. We have lunch Special start $5.95. The dinner should cost around $11-$20 . Our chicken/steaks portion is 7 oz, include a bowl of rice, house salad, and miso or mushroom soup. The Japanese soda, it's cost just same...More

Sushi is AMAZING! Chicken and Beef teriyaki is also very good :) If you have a party larger than 4 I would call, the place is kind of small but definitely worth any wait. Staff is very attentive and kind.

This is my favorite sushi in town. While that isn't saying much, this place is great! I eat here at least once per month & while I've tried many options, I constantly come back to the fried cali roll with eel sauce. So basic, but...the light fry & sauce makes it something special. Their hibachi is pretty dull, but every roll I've ever tried has been very nice. The GF is hooked on their miso soup. The staff is always incredibly warm & helpful, even when they are slammed. I do wish the dining room & tables were a bit larger, because it's hard to leave or enter when the place is busy. Fingers crossed that they eventually move into a larger space & find success there.More

The staff was friendly but a bit slow. The sushi was fresh and beautiful. The prices were on the high side but I felt the food was worth it. Unfortunately, the table we sat at had a big column in the middle so our party...of 4 had to basically sit separately and it was inconvenient to try to share our meal. Very small seating area so I don't recommend going at busy times.More

I"ve been here a few times and keep wanting to go back for more. I've ordered a couple of the rolls and the tempura, which all have been very tasty. I'm not an expert with type of food and need a bit of help in...figuring out how to order but I've not been disappointed yet. The mushroom soup (or they have miso) is very delicious. The service was excellent and the facility is very clean and tidy. Parking is assessable and the location of the establishment is ideal...on Grand Street across from the campus commuter bus stop. Also, prices are adequate for what you get. When I go back...I think I'll try something from the hibachi selection.More

We arrived on a Saturday night , and it was packed. We were able to get seated at the sushi bar and told our nice server that we had theater tickets. We ordered the combo sushi and sashimi platter. Having lived in Japan, we have...high standards for sushi. The sashimi consisted of six different types of fish, including sea bass. The sushi was composed of these same fish plus shrimp. Serving size was generous, and the platter also came with a California roll. We were impressed with the freshness of the fish. Very reasonably priced for sushi and sashimi. By the way, we have also found Niko's sushi at the food coop downtown. So give Niko's a try. We'll be back for sure.More

Right across from the UW Campus, so likely pretty popular with students. A bright, clean place with Sushi bar front and center. We opted for beef spring roll starters, which were tasty, but a bit greasy, followed by Hibachi dinners. He had steak and I...had Teriyaki Salmon. Each came with choice of Miso or Mushroom Soup (more of a broth), and salad. Both were OK - Wasabi dressing on the salad was tasty. Both his steak and my fish were served over grilled veggies with a healthy side of rice. A pretty good entree value at $17, however we weren't overly impressed with the food. My salmon was a bit on the dry side, and the veggies were mainly spring onions. Each came with a nice sauce that were essential for adding some flavor to the dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Maybe we missed the boat by not ordering the Sushi, but don't see myself going back for another try.More
