I was on a family vacation in fall 2015 with my family, and we just happened upon The Night Heron. We went into this book store/ coffee shoppe/lunch stop and I'm sure glad we did. It ended up being one of my favorite stops on vacation. the gentleman there talked with my husband and I for at least 20 minutes... More

Stopped by for a latte to go but was so in love with the little place that i stayed and leafed through piles of books while I was in. Lovely coffee and atmosphere!

This was one of our destinations for our downtown Laramie unit with my first/second grade class. The owner was welcoming and kind, and even gave our class a free book! The book selection is wonderful! As one of my students wrote, you can also get coffee here and a snack. He added, you should probably go there. I couldn't agree... More

They make a great turkey pesto panini sandwich, the pesto appears to be handmade on site and always good, along with the coffee. Staff is friendly.

I'd visited this book store many times in the past when it was just a book store. It has expanded into a coffee shop and book store (which conceptually is great), but it seems like they're still struggling to work out the kinks. I felt like aisles were tight and that I had to move into the coffee shop staff... More

Their coffee, and lattes are good, but definitely try the hot chocolate, very very very good! I also have smelled their new salsa, and intend to get some soon, because it smelled so amazing in the shop I was in that I had to ask the store clerk where it was from, apparently, they make it themselves, so I MUST... We wandered into Night Heron in search of an out of print book and stayed for a bite and cuppa Joe. We scored the book posthaste (local informant had advised us it was there) and ordered up their "breakfast burrito," more like a wrap, but good nonetheless. Darn good coffee too. So clean off your spectacles, let your belt out... More

Night Heron is a wonderful spot in downtown Laramie. They serve handmade, creative, delicious, and mostly local foods (best pastries in town, hands down). Located in a cozy second-hand bookstore, it's brimming with character and is a great spot to stop in for a weekend of work, reading, or chatting with friends. They make killer (gluten-free!) sweet potato waffles on... More
