Fantastic and flavorful food. Everything tasted fresh and the naan was so good!
We ordered Lamb Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and Mango curry with different spice levels. Delicious! They are only open right now for dinner but hopefully they can expand their hours.

It looks like an old western saloon, inside and out, but it is totally great Indian food. the naan wasn't as fluffy as I like it, but it was still delicious. We also had Chicken Mango, Chicken Korma and Chicken Dhaniya. The Mango and Dhaniya were new to us and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The Mango is a bit sweet from the fruit. The Korma and Dhaniya were smooth and flavorful. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We had three dishes for four people and it was plenty. We'd definitely stop there again if in the area!

We stopped here expecting a cowboy themed burger joint, but were very pleasantly surprised. It looked like a cowboy joint, but was an excellent Indian restaurant. The server was very friendly and the food arrived quickly. We had butter chicken, chicken saag, and cheese naan. The servings were large and the food tasted great. We asked for medium spicy and the food definitely had a kick to it. We were sorry we were traveling and couldn't take leftovers. What a great stop!

We learned about this hidden gem from a food review news piece. While the building isn’t fancy, the staff was very friendly and the food was AMAZING. My husband got a spicy lamb vindaloo and I had a savory chicken korma. We live in a small town and the only good local restaurant is Indian cuisine. We compared the Buffalo to our home place and it won on all the dishes. We also got garlic naan, and it was the best I’ve had! Light and crispy and a great accompaniment to our meal. It’s also right off the interstate, so make this a stop on your next road trip!

What a great addition to our town's restaurant scene! We were seated promptly, plain and very clean decor, knowledgeable and friendly server. We had lamb biryani, mango curry and chicken saag, all delicious and plenty left over to take home. The place also obviously does a bustling take-out business. Highly recommend!

we drove from Denver to Laramie and stopped in for a delicious meal. The food was incredible. I had the Butter Chicken and the sauce was to die for. My friend had the spicy shrimp and it too was very good. The Naan bread melts in your mouth. The Chai tea is some of the best ever.
The staff couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating. We wish it was closer to Denver.

we have eaten at Indian places all over the country and this is definitely one of our favorites. Butter chicken is our go to--- this is great butter chicken! Naan was seriously lacking flavor, but you get a lot of it! Service was good and friendly-- which is rare for Indian places. I dropped one star because the building and lot are obviously an old steakhouse or bar-- pretty cool but it is time to pave the parking lot and freshen up the building.

On our roadtrip, it was a nice surprise coming into a tiny town in Wyoming to find out that it had Indian food. A nice taste treat for our weary traveling bodies. The employees were very nice and the food was great, but needed a little more flavor.

We were not sure since they ste fairly new but our daughter from Portland OR said let’s go for it. We ordered six different entrees and tried them all. My daughter said this food was better than any Indian food in Portland. Was absolutly delious and flavorfull.

Great menu offerings and we just kept ordering. The waiter looked at us and asked if we wanted it all for there. We just smiled and said to start, yes. We loved it all, and of course had a bunch to take home. The flavors are so unique, and they were kind enough to spice it to our heat level preference. The decor is nothing special, but who cares when the food and service is so good! Easy on off I-80 and well worth the stop!

We met friends here at their recommendation. We had an appetizer and four different dishes. Everything was great with copious servings and reasonably priced. The service was good.

I gave this restaurant five stars because many of the dishes were very good. This is family run and the proprietors seem very nice.
My review title is because it is as close to Indian food as you are likely to find in Laramie if that’s what you are craving. It’s more of a tribute restaurant (like a tribute band) because it “sounded” like Indian but a few of the note were a little off key.
Many Indian dishes were not on this menu and one of the ones we tried (tandoori) was not remotely authentic. Still, some of the dishes really nailed it. If I didn’t my spelling right it’s because I spelled things phonetically or from memory in my review and didn’t check.
First, the good news. The Channa masala (chickpeas) was the real deal and so was thd tarka dal (yellow lentils). The white steamed basmati rice was good by Indian restaurant standards. One of my friends ordered the aloo (potatoes with cauliflower) and it was good though a small portion. Since all three veg dishes were delicious, my guess is the other vegetarian dishes and maybe the veg pakora (veg pastry) are good. I did not notice saag (spinach) but it might be worth a try. I ordered mango chutney. What I received by mistake was a very highly spiced mango “chutney” that did not actually have pieces of mango in it as far as I could tell. It was more of like very spicy mango sauce/syrup. Since they offer plain unspiced mango chutney that I ordered, I assume they brought the wrong one. I didn’t complain or send it back because my friends mostly ordered dishes mild and I liked the heat and punch of the spicy mango sauce. The veg dishes tasted very much homemade from scratch.
Now the criticisms and “no opinion of” part of the review.
Several Indian standbys like pompadums and pilau rice were missing from the menu but they offer biryanis so maybe theirs is close to pilau. A pilau rice or curried rice with peas would be a welcome addition to the menu. I did not see black dal (a delicious lentil dal that is heavy with lots of dairy fat) but the tarka (yellow) dol which is light and was good as noted above, more than made up for it. It would be nice if they had Indian beer, but it appears as though they don’t have a wine and beer license yet. Not sure, but I didn’t see alcoholic beverages.
We had good curried dishes but did not try the curry mains themselves, so that’s a major omission of this review. What is a little weird is that the tandoori was ordered “medium” and they served what they called a masala sauce on the side. The medium masala sauce appeared to be like a curry base and it was a passable masala but maybe not homemade.
After asking if they really had a true tandoor oven (they said yes), I ordered the only non veg dish, chicken tandoori. It was not chicken tandoori. It was a somewhat incinerated crispy black and shriveled with oil and spice on it and not pink tandoori seasoning. This was the Indian equivalent of ordering southern fried chicken and getting chicken McNuggets with green goddess sauce. I’m not sure what it was but it was not tandoori chicken. And given that it was cooked beyond recognition, it’s possible that it was made in something similar to a true tandoori oven which is incredibly hot. They obviously do not have a tandoori chef, maybe a tandoori chef in training. I wish I had asked to see the kitchen.
Finally, the naan (bread) was a large we would portion of bland flatbread that did not taste like fresh homemade or, frankly, like any naan we had ever had. If you are OK having pita bread instead of naan, ok, but we didn’t eat much of it.
Conclusion: we would definitely go back if we were in Laramie and craving Indian food, but we would steer clear of the tandoori and the naan. We would not hesitate to order any of the vegetable dishes especially the Chana masala. The restaurant staff is very friendly and appears to be family.
What would really be cool, given their name, is if they styled the place as Native American Indian,/true Indian fusion. That would work for the tandoori because it was so incinerated and dark it reminded me of pemmican. If in fact the Buffalo name is meant to conjure up a High Plains version of an Indian restaurant, this place ichecks all the boxes. Give them a try and see what you think.
