we were on the way to Mount Rushmore from the Rockies and being an Indian, looking for an Indian restaurant. we found this. we reached in the next 30 minutes, luckily it was open. it was empty. we settled and ordered chicken fried rice chicken...lo-mein and hong kong chicken not sure if we were starving after 6 hrs of driving or if the food was good, but we found food delicious. there was satisfaction after the meal. Ambience-wise- it's very foresty, lots of plants. service- we were the only one so we got all the attention ;) and then we were on road again. Nice pit stop.More

The last two time we ordered beef lo mein the beef was so spicy I couldn't eat it. The first time I thought maybe there was a mix up so my daughter and I traded no biggie. The second time was only a week later...and there was no mistake as both the beef lo mein and combination lo mein were spiced up. The egg rolls were just fine as was the sweet and sour chicken. This was take out and I was so disgusted because the meat tasted off as well and I didn't bother calling back. I just won't go back.More

It was a random choice. No surprises here . Expected and anticipated menu, simple decor with Chinese theme and decent service. Overall good experience.

Wyoming is not known for Chinese but this restaurant is good. Service was friendly and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Decor was also very nice.

The fried shrimp was dried out and tasteless. The rice was dry and bland. Pork egg roll bland but not dry. Teriyaki chicken was okay and the wontons might have had some filling but not much. Prices just went up 9/1/19 so the dry, tasteless...food was even more disappointing because it cost more but the amount of food is good if it tasted better. From now on I will get my Chinese food in Cheyenne. Frozen food at Safeway is better.More

The Mandarin is one of those places where one day you'll have an outstanding meal and on another day, only fair. So consistency is not necessarily a strong point. But, they have an excellent and diverse menu. I believe that they make their items from...scratch. Sometimes it can take a while to receive your meal. Recommend appetizers. Overall, I have been a patron for many years and enjoy the food. Dine-in or carry-out.More

When I first moved to Laramie, there weren't any 'great' options for Chinese food in town. This was just another 'meh' option on the table that you'd have to choose from if you wanted Chinese but you didn't want to drive down to Colorado to...get it. That being said, I don't know if they got a new chef or anything recently but they have improved in quality so much. The chef really knows what they are doing, and the only thing holding this place back from a 5 star is the quality of the bulk ingredients could be better. Give it a shot, order the orange chicken.More

Super friendly and good! Nothing extravagant from the outside, but inside it’s nice and clean and spacious. Staff was incredibly friendly, service was quick and attentive. Appetizers gratis along with the meal order, and the food was on point - not over-fried or overpowered by...any one flavor, a good mix. This should absolutely be your go-to for Chinese in Laramie. Highly recommended.More

I've been eating here for at least 20 years. In that time the prices have gone up significantly and the quality has varied. It's been more chef dependent as some of the original family owners have retired, etc. However, it's still better than most. It...is not creative or fancy and it is arguably very Americanized Chinese food, but what else is expected in a small town? The hot and sour soup is a go-to favorite and the rest of the menu is solid, tasty and quality.More

The restaurant is not fancy and we stopped only because it was recommended. The food was delicious! The lemon sauce was amazing. We ordered 5 main dishes and loved them all. The fired rice was very good too. Beef and broccoli was a favorite. Orange...chicken is good.More

I chose New Mandarin, in Laramie, based on a recommendation. I love Chinese food, especially that with some spice! I ordered the Hot Pepper Chicken with steamed rice, and 1 veggie egg roll for take out. Great prices and it was fixed quickly. The 2...ladies working, were the owners/operators, and very friendly. There are a couple couches to get comfy on while you wait, don't be alarmed that they're from 1970 and are crushed velvet floral pattern. The food was delicious and a very excellent portion. I'll definitely go here again!More

I have eaten here many times. They don't seem to care that you are dining with them. The food is average, often mediocre. I cant say anything terrible, but couldn't recommend it either. Pricy for what you get, also.

I work for food magazine. The wor wonton soup is the best I have had. I also had shrimp fried rice. The shrimp was tender and the rice was one of the best I have ever had.
