About
Open since December 2015, Picnic has already won over Jackson locals, who voted it best new restaurant, best lunch spot and best baked goods. Our mission is simple: Offer good food, made fresh, all day, every day. We know everyone's busy, so we cater to on-the-go lifestyles by stocking a fridge filled with pre-packed salads and sandwiches. Our boxed lunches are perfect midday companions on both floats and meetings. Picnic stocks locals' favorite pastries handmade by our Persephone Bakery (think croissants and chocolate chip cookies), as well as our versions of American classics like pop tarts and rice crispy treats. Tapping active Teton appetites, we make fill a reach-in fridge with sandwiches, salads and fresh juices. For those with more time, we invite them to sit and enjoy a biscuit egg sandwich or one of our toasts, piled high with fresh ingredients. Brunch lovers can linger over our cocktail menu of classics like mimosas and bloodies. Come high noon, we cater to confabs with fresh salads and veggie and meat sandwiches served on our housemade bread. Afternoon brings happy hour and our ample list of cocktails and wines (packable too: wine in cans make for merry picnics). And of course, we do coffee, in every form imaginable. We offer a custom organic blend from Jackson's own Snake River Roasters. We do pour overs, and we host a rotating roster of guest roasters--the best of the U.S. from the likes of Intelligentsia, MadCap and Four Barrel.

This out of the way spot is so yummy. Picnic is a sister restaurant to Persephone and they carry the baked goods and bread. The menu is slightly different with lots of yummy sandwiches, soups and salads. Highly recommend going out of your way to this great little place

Have placed to-go orders several times and always amazing! Can highly recommend their breakfast burrito and their Cuban sandwich. But the real highlight is their pasty selection, especially their Kouign-amann. They sell out, so I've only managed to get one about half of the time, but it's so buttery and flaky and perfect.

Another great cafe designed by the Persephone team. This one is hidden away in an office building and seems to cater more to the local scene. A lot of the same great food and definitely the same great service as the main cafe, but with less tourists and more Tetonians (I will be trademarking that name btw)

Too healthy and limited of a menu for me but my wife was dancing in her seat (never happened over breakfast) She had the avocado toast and cappuccino. Best she ever had. Portion was perfect and toppings were perfectly portioned as well. Muktigrain bread was so good she took a loaf home. She almost got tge breakfast burrito but the person next to us said it was excellent.

We had lunches for our adventure. you call and order, box lunch ready for pick up early. These sandwiches are something to experience. Huge! Everything local made. The bread was hearty and did not get soggy through the day. Our group had a ham and cheese, a chicken and a cuban. Each was better than the one before. Great! free fruit cups were really fresh and the cookies were perfect. Definitely pick up meals to take with you. We certainly will again.

Excellent find south of the tourist crush of downtown Jackson. Cool little coffee joint with excellent cafe food and sublime baked goods. We had their avocado toast, egg breakfast, and their breakfast burrito. All were amazing.

Love this place, warm and inviting! Staff is always so friendly, we are local and it nice to come into a place that calls you by your name. Love the specialty coffees, the smoothie bowl is sooooo good. Pastries, Lunch and Breakfast everything’s good. You can’t go wrong.

The day before, we had stopped at the Persephone Bakery for breakfast. And left very displeased. This day we decided to eat at the Virginian. Unfortunately, it was inexplicably closed. So, we scrambled and went to The Picnic, not realizing that it shared ownership with the Persephone Bakery. Rather than leave we ordered. Mistake! Actually Picnic made Perephone look Good! We do not recommend Picnic!

What a great find off the beaten track. Appeared to be a locals breakfast spot which is always a great sign. I have nothing bad to say. Great menu selections. Decor very welcoming, friendly staff, prompt service, delicious food. Indoor and outdoor dining, Cafe seating also available. Food fresh with striking bright colors. Great for breakfast/brunch. Many taking to-go orders which looked nicely packaged. If one suggestion, appeared they could use an additional batista as he had a lot of orders to fill.

I got the Jackson Hippie breakfast sandwich, a chai, and several gluten-free pastries for the road, and everything was SO delicious. That was almost a month ago and I’m still thinking about the sandwich. Don’t miss this place if you are in Jackson.

Uber tourist popular Persephone’s local sister cafe. I like this a bit better. It has a different menu with a few of the same offerings. Larger in door seating. Less outdoor. Far fewer tourists more locals

I stopped here on Sunday around 11 AM for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at the busy but friendly vibes. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had.
