Great value, authentic and tasty

Dinner exceeded expectations- portions were large and service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive even though she had alot of tables to attend. Drinks came quickly and food was surprisingly authentic. Cheese steaks were supposedly served on fresh amarosa rolls - flown in daily. If you're from Philly that's the only acceptable bread for a real cheese steak. The cheesesteak served as a salad was also delicious and portion was huge!

Hey you guys - it's a Philly place in Jackson

Being from the Philadelphia area, we immediately noticed all our local sports memorabilia, pennants and the giant Philly Phanatic poster on the wall. There were hoagies and cheesesteaks on the menu. The giant pizza slices (1/4 of a pie)tasted like the Jersey shore boardwalk! We visited 3 times during our 5 days in Jackson area. The cheesesteak was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Prices are really reasonable too The location on the corner of 22 and 191 was really convenient coming from our accommodations in Wilson. We loved the local feel of the Cutty's as did our friends from CA.

A Real Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

While in town for business I had been unable to get to Cutty's so the morning I left, I called to order a sandwich. Although they did not open for 40 minutes, the proprieter took pity on me - he made me a cheesesteak sandwich sans mushrooms, which I picked up long before opening time. It was delicious! Wish I'd been able to get there more than the one time. All the staff was so friendly!

Waited 45 minutes after paying for a to go order, only to be left without food!!!

I had told my wife about how good their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches were, so she asked me to take her there. I ordered 2 steak sandwiches, fries, and onion rings and paid for the order. The gentlemen at the counter told me it would be 20 minutes, so I waited in my truck. I came back 20 minutes later and he told me he would check on my order. The third time he went to check, which was 45 minutes after I ordered and paid, he came back and told me they did not have anymore steak and would have to give a refund. Then he told me they would not process the refund for 1 to 3 days. I told him this was not acceptable and I wanted to talk to the manager. He went to go tell the manager and came back and told me the manager was too busy to see me and they would process the refund at midnight. What horrible customer service was demonstrated. They offered me not one thing for my loss of time and the fact I still did not have any food. I know they were busy and probably making too much money to care about us, but this is not the way to conduct business!!

Hi Tim, Sorry for your terrible experience. There have been a variety of issues we have been faced within a short period of time. As you may be aware we were only offering takeout for the last few months. Restaurants in the area were not allowed to open. We opened a few weeks back after surveying the situation and things have been going fairly smooth and slowly getting back to normal. Unlike many restaurants in Jackson we typically never close. Opening and closing creates havoc with staff, supplies, vendors, accounts, landlords and a host of other things I am probably missing. This past weekend was much busier than we anticipated. The town is as busy as any summer in the past. We are no longer receiving shipments on weekends, further complicating issues is the fact that some of our main vendors have also been running out of product. It is uncommon for markets to expand and contract as they have been. I'm guessing you paid with a debit card. When debit cards are used it can take up to 3 business days for transactions to disappear. I believe that is what he meant and I apologize he didn't do a better job explaining himself. Cash is easily reimbursed as well as credit cards. I have had that issue for many years and have explained it countless times to customers. I would love for someone to address the issue but the bank card gods really could care less about my opinion as well. When I have an issue with them I get transferred to India and get nothing. That is while I pay them a very large sum of money on a yearly basis. Seems like many things are unfair. The manager was being crushed by a host of issues. It is no excuse, but wanted to take the time to explain the circumstances and I'm sorry it wasn't handled better. Thanks for pointing out that this isn't a way to conduct business and we were "probably making too much money to care". The business didn't grow to what it has become because we don't care. People have put many hours along with their hearts and soul into the business. Sadly we are human and can royally screw things up from time to time. I can't think of many mom and pop type restaurants who have profited this entire year in Jackson, so you are a bit off on that analysis of making too much money. I'm sorry you were hangry and I also would have been pissed. Let's call it even. Thinking about your review and responding to it has taken up a considerable amount of my time as well. I have to get back to running a terrible business. I'm sure dining will get better when a virus stops spreading and killing people.

Great Food/Poor Service

The loaded fries appetizer and the meat pizza were awesome. Great food and fairly priced. The service though, it was terrible. Our server checked on us one time and it took 20 minutes to get the check. We got a big pizza and no plates and that took 12 minutes just to get two plates to put the pizza on. Food great, service was poor.

Excellent Philly Sandwiches in JH

Cutty's is a no-frill bar and restaurant that is clearly popular for sports watching, bikers, and after hours. We visited for lunch, and I must say, the cheesesteak sandwiches were extremely good. There are several philly choices, along with your standard pub fare. The service was attentive and the food was served quickly and fresh.

Outstanding cheesesteaks!

At first glance the place looks a little run down when you drive up but kudos to whoever put the pictures on the website because they are a bit deceiving. With that said we enjoyed our experience here and loved the food! We had a fairly large group and wanted to watch our hometown baseball team play in the regionals. The staff was very accommodating making sure to get the game on the tv next to our table. Our server was not overly friendly but she did her job well and made sure we had what we needed. My husband and I ordered the cheesesteaks and they are seriously out of this world and the portions are huge! Consider splitting a meal if you don't want to be wasteful!

Good food on a summer visit

We split the large Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with fries and a beer each, and the sandwich and fries were excellent. The patio is nice on a summer afternoon, and the wait staff friendly. A good place to stop for lunch.

Nice lunch stop recommended by our local tour guide. We wanted something easy that kids would enjoy and we could eat outside ( Covid avoidance needs) We had great hot subs meatball pasta and chicken parm. Philly steak as a salad ( for our Gluten free member) a great BLT and pizza by the slice for the kids Very easy, good food good fries and comfortable

Poor service, great cheese steak

A little slow to start getting drinks and food but got it done in a reasonable amount of time. Cheese steaks and salads were excellent. Maybe the best cheese steak I’ve ever had. Server never checked on us during meal. Never asked for second round of drinks (which we may have done) or if we needed anything else (ketchup for french fries would have been nice). The check at the end of the meal never showed up. Our server was washing dirty bar glasses for at least 10 minutes after we were done. Finally went to the bar and asked to pay so we could leave. Server apologized and gave us a break on the bill. Does that make up for it? Not sure...... Cheese steak is excellent, but be prepared to battle the service to get it.

Great bar food!

Stopped by this place last weekend after hearing about it from a friend. Evidently, they are known for their philly cheesesteak sandwiches, which is what I had. It was huge, big enough for me and my husband to share, along with fries, which are an add on. He ordered the wings. We both loved what we had. The philly was SOOO good, I just had the original. The bread was soft and delicious and the filling was exceptional! I was told they have their bread flown in everyday from Philly, not sure if this is true. Lots of people were ordering pizza, so we will try that on our next visit. Prices were reasonable as well, another reason to go back.

Excellent Local Place

We have ate at every high end restaurant in Jackson during our 4 year annual trip here. By far Cuttys gives portions that would satisfy Sasquatch! Their Pizza and Stromboli are amazing. The drinks are poured with a heavy hand and the service is very attentive. I almost hate writing this review, and would like to keep this place a secret for us. But Cuttys is where its at for great food and drinks. Don’t miss this Gem.

Philly heaven!

Nothing fancy but great food! We shared a classic cheesesteak and a pizza. Both were fantastic. Our server told us the cheesesteak bread is flown in from a Philly bakery. It was light and delicious. Our server also said the pizza was “Jersey style”. We have never had Jersey pizza but this version had a light, crispy crust. Top it off with a couple of Melvin Heyzeus drafts and we were in heaven!

It was our last night in Jackson and we decided to get something quick and easy. After reading several TA reviews we decided to order from Cutty's. I ordered online the hot pepper cheesesteak and a buffalo chicken pizza. The restaurant was only 2 miles away and the order was ready when I got to the restaurant. After getting back to the room, the food was still hot. The cheesesteak was great - probably one of the best cheesesteaks I've had. The buffalo chicken pizza was also really good - I'm not a fan of buffalo chicken pizza, but this was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place. I only wish we tried it earlier in our trip cause we would of come back a second time.

We wanted a quick place to eat but this was not a good choice. Mostly bar for locals - said they were known for their Cheese steaks but it lacked flavor and CHEESE! Husband had wings which were tasteless. SHould have gone into town.
