With concerns about COVID-19 and social distancing, dinner at the Elk Mountain Hotel was a refreshing change! There was one other couple in the dining room and they were far away! We had a lovely dinner, a fabulous breakfast the next morning and the service...was impeccable! The staff is friendly and very attentive!More

Rustic flavor of mountain country. Particularly cozy in the winter when the fire is going. Save room for their desserts, too.

I love historic hotels and this one is charming but the food was over the top delicious. Best food we have ever had in Wyoming...Susan graduated from the Cordon bleu college in France in 1988. She takes pride in every dish. When you consider where...Elk Mountain is..nearly in the middle of no where...her delicacies are amazing. My duckling breast was perfect and I adored the sweet potato and white potato gratin my husbands chicken schnitzel was too good to share. We stayed in the Chandler room which was all antiques like the whole house but the bed was comfy. Nice bathroom and towels Breakfast was great too .....loved my eggs Benedict with salmon on potato pancakes. The French toast was extra crispy and tastyMore

Thanks and sorry for the delayed response. I have only just come across the review. Yes, the reason we like Wyoming is that the pace of life is more relaxed, and I get to speak to the guests that I cook for whereas in a...More

What a gem! My husband and I stayed a night in this very quaint historic hotel. It is a well preserved hotel managed by the owners who are a very nice English couple. The hotel is clean and the restaurant is phenomenal. The lady who...runs the place with her husband is the chef. She is a French trained chef and her dishes are to die for. I had the Salmon pillowcase for my entree and it was perfection. Homemade desserts, salad dressings and breads. I could go on and on about how wonderful our experience was staying here. We will definitely be back!More

Our Christian tour group had an exceptional lunch experience at Elk Mountain Inn. The food was wonderful as would be expected from a Cordon Bleu chef. Wonderful tray of homemade deserts was provided with the best baklava and macaroons I have had. The ambience and...beauty of this well preserved historic hotel added to the experience. It would be a delight to spend some time there and stay in the hotel and take meals there. Bravo! for a great event that left our people talking.More

Beautiful and quaint atmosphere - light music in the background, candles lit on each table. Service was excellent - couldn't have asked for a better nights rest and service.

We were just passing through on a long road trip. I had booked this place based on its location but I am so glad I did. I wish we had more time to spend here. I was enamored with the quaint little town and with...this hotel. It has an interesting history so be sure to read about it in the notebook found in your room and look at the pictures on the walls in the upstairs hallway. Fascinating. The innkeeper herself has had rich experiences, vast travels and training. She does a little of everything there and is committed to serving her guests and makes them her priority. Even though she checks guests in, does the paperwork and cooks, she took time at the end of our meal to come out and chat with us for quite a while. I would highly recommend this hotel that is rich in history and beautiful scenery (Very close to Elk Mountain) to anyone.More
